Practical Scrappers Color Combo Layout - Gray, Yellow and Sky Blue
Hello scrappy friends! Today on Practical Scrappers the design team is working with colour. The colours are yellow, gray and sky blue. I LOVE this colour combination. Here is my layout:
This layout is of my oldest son and my daughter in law. They have been married for almost five years and this is of one of their many tropical vacations as they love to travel.
I chose some patterned papers and die cut stickers from the Echo Park's Country Drive Collection and the Dots & Stripes Collection. I also handmade my gray felt flower. The outside edge of the white cardstock background is stamped with gray, blue and yellow acrylic paints for some added interest. I then used the same acrylic paints to do a little paint splatters to give more dimension.
Thanks for coming to my blog and if you are wanting even more inspiration, you can check out the Practical Scrapper's design team's take on these colours right here.
Have a great scrappy day!

Chalkboard Craze
Have you noticed that the good old chalkboard is making a comeback in the design world? I am sure there are a lot of teachers out there that can remember the dusty chalkboard and erasers. Everywhere you look you will see this trend.
I was inspired by Wilna Furstenburg's chalkboard layout, at Two Peas In A Bucket and wanted to try this technique. I used some Martha Stewart Chalkboard Paint

some papers from the Echo Park Country Drive Collection , a white sheet of card stock, my Silhouette Cameo, some Crayola Chalk, a felt rose that I handmade and came up with this layout
It was so much fun! I can't wait to try this chalkboard paint on some other surfaces and make a menu for my kitchen.
Did you know that on my Two Peas In A Bucket Gallery my name is scrapperleeanne and I have almost 700 projects there since I began to post them in 2006? It is a great website and it inspires me daily. You can check out my Two Peas Gallery here and email me here.
Have a wonderful day!

Practical Scrappers Ten Things - Felt
Today at Practical Scrappers we are sharing ten things that you can do with felt.
On this layout I created the roses and the loopy flowers with some different colours of felt and put them on my layout:
The felt flowers tutorial is here and my layout was created with a sketch from Page Drafts.
I hope I have inspired you to take some inexpensive sheets of felt that you can easily purchase at any craft store and make your own felt flowers.
Stop by here and see what the rest of the Ten Things Team at Practical Scrappers have to share.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
