This Is So True!
Here in Canada, our gas prices have shot way up. A friend of mine on Facebook posted this today and I had to share it too. I'm so glad that we have a Costco nearby that has gas pumps. It seems to be the best gas prices around where I live. Here is the clip:

My Scrapbooking Interview...
How long have you been scrapbooking? I was originally introduced to scrapbooking in 2001 when I lived in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. A friend of mine asked me to go to a "crop" at the local craft/scrapbook store. I had no idea what a "crop" was at the time. As an avid cross-stitcher, this was a new craft and it took me a while to warm up to scrapbooking.
How would you describe your scrapbook style? My scrapbook style is eclectic. I love to try all different styles and techniques. Most of my layouts are 12X12 with one photo.
Do you have a favorite technique? My favorite technique is distressing and inking with lots of embellishments such as buttons and ribbon.
What is your favorite adhesive? I like 3L Adhesives Red Glue Runners
What is your workspace like? I have a scraproom, which is in a spare bedroom of my house but do most of my scrapbooking on my kitchen island so I can be where my son and husband are.
Do you have a favorite scrapbook tool? I have many, I enjoy my Slice, my Basic Grey Magnetic Mat and my Distrezz-it-all.
What do you do when you get creative block? Usually I look at scrapbooking blogs and magazines or go out and photograph anything and everything.
What type of camera do you have? I have a Canon EOS 7D and several lenses such as the 10-22mm, 70-200 mm 2.8, 100 mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4, and my 17-85mm 4.5.
What do you eat/drink when scrapbooking? I don't eat while scrapbooking, but I like to have water with a slice of lemon or a Pepsi with a slice of lime or lemon.
Are you a social scrapbooker, or do you prefer to scrapbook alone? I do most of my scrapbooking solo, but also like to scrapbook with other ladies for the social aspect.
Who is your favorite manufacturer or line of product? I have many but Bo Bunny, Fancy Pants and October Afternoon come to my mind first.
Do you scrapbook chronologically, or just scrapbook whatever motivates you at the time? I am an emotional scrapbooker and usually scrapbook about what is on my mind for that day.
Do you have any other hobbies? Photography is something that I have really become passionate about since my husband bought me my first DSLR camera for Mother's Day in 2007. I also love to cook and bake and try new recipes.
Why do you scrapbook? Mostly for therapeutic reasons and to be creative. I have to create something everyday or I feel an emptiness whether it is creating in the scraproom or the kitchen.
Do you have any scrapbooking advice? Get messy and enjoy the entire process.
What is your scrapbook motto? Quality not quantity.
Are you an organized, or messy scrapbooker? Very messy. A cyclone would be the best way to describe my space after I have created a layout.
Do you have a scrapbooking pet peeve? There is never enough time.

Forgiveness
Walking in Forgiveness..
This seems to be the one thing that is so hard for most people, and even if it seems completely impossible, truly and fully forgiving others is necessary to feel at complete peace with yourself; holding onto past hurts or wrongs we feel were done to us, keeps us from what God has out there waiting for us. Forgiving ourselves is equally important, and so worth any amount of work it takes to do it.
Forgiving whatever has happened to you in the past and whoever was involved in this hurt does not mean you must agree with all that has happened. It does not mean that you are giving up. It does not mean that you are weak, wrong or that you are admitting fault in anyway. It just means that you are letting it go so that your hands are not so filled with past hurts that they can not grasp onto the goodness that God has waiting to be held by you.
Forgiving yourself means that you are acknowledging that you may have chosen to do things differently, but that now you know better, you are moving forward in new and better ways.
Forgiveness is simply releasing all of the bitterness that builds up over time when we hold un-forgiveness in our hearts, when we refuse to forget.
Forgiveness is so beautiful and freeing. So worth it. Please just think about it pray about it. By forgiving others and releasing that burden you are giving others the opportunity to forgive you.

My She Art Girl #3 - When I Was 10 Years Old
I just finished my third She Art doll and I wanted to make it a vintage piece. I searched online for a 1960's girl's vintage clothing image to see what was in style when I was a girl. I remember having a little top and pants in this style so I used that as my inspiration. Most of the papers were from October Afternoon's 5 And Dime collection and I am in love with all the vintage papers at the moment. It really brings back a lot of memories.
This She Art is so therapeutic and good for the soul. If you get a chance, try one.

My Second "She Art" Girl
I am having more fun with these girls. I love doing these. This one was done by painting on the canvas. I am thinking these colors are very bright. Here is the one I did today.
