Hello! Happy Sunday! Today I wanted to share another layout that I created with the September Creative Kit at My Creative Scrapbook. 

This layout is of my dog Syd when he was a puppy last Fall. He loved going for walks in the forest and it was hilarious to watch him run after the falling leaves and try to catch them in his mouth. 

I love the woodgrain background paper so I chose it for the background. The papers, stickers and ephemera are from the A Perfect Autumn Collection by Echo Park Paper. For the title, I used the Amy Tangerine woodgrain chipboard alpha stickers from the kit and the word "lucky" from the Heidi Swapp Gold Acetate Words.

I matted my photo on brown patterned paper and added a little phrase sticker. The journaling cards in the kit's ephemera pack were added to the right side of the photo and I popped a little squirrel up on some pop dots. 

I wanted to create a fun, whimsical layout. I knew I wanted to use some of the ephemera and stickers of the bear and owl in this kit.  

I added my journaling to the journaling card and added the jar sticker, a tiny journaling tag and the twine that I tied in a double bow and added a sticker to the center of the bow.

Hello! Just thought I would share another layout with the September Creative Kit that I designed for My Creative Scrapbook.

For this layout I wanted to utilize my word stickers that came with the kit and I also decided to create this layout on the diagonal because I really love the leaves patterned paper in the kit and I wanted to make sure that I was able to use half of the sheet for a layout and half of the sheet for fussy cutting the leaves for embellishments. No wasting paper for this gal.

I fussy cut the title "Fall" from one of the 3X4 card sheets in the kit and added lots of stickers and ephemera to the layout. I also used the gold sequins to direct the eyes to the title. Sequins work really well for this. 

I used the brown scalloped border sticker from the sticker sheet and cut out the Fall words patterned paper sheet into two paper strip and also used the word stickers to add a border. Since the layout is on the diagonal, sometimes the paper strips aren't long enough to go the entire length of the page so I cut strips strategically that will be covered by the photo to add length. This works great and you never would know that the paper strip is actually two paper strips.

I added some foam squares to the back of the embellishments to add more dimension. The little truck was fussy cut from one of the 3X4 cards in the kit.

Hello Fall

Hello friends! I hope you are enjoying your Labor Day weekend if you live in Canada or the U.S. It's a great time to get some scrapbooking done.

Today I wanted to share a layout for My Creative Scrapbook that I created with the September Creative Kit.

The full reveal of the September kits is September 5, but the sneak peeks are up on the My Creative Scrapbook blog.

I loved working with this kit. For this layout I cut up lots of patterned paper strips. This is a great way to use up the leftovers from the kit. I sewed the strips down to the background with my Stitch Happy sewing machine and some aqua twine. I didn't want to cover up my layout too much so I clustered my embellishments around the matted photo.
