Sketches In Thyme Team A Sketch #109

Hello friends!  I hope you are having a good week so far.  Today at Sketches In Thyme we have a new sketch reveal

Sketches In Thyme Sketch #109

Here is my layout.  I enjoyed making it and put my heart and soul into it but notice that it is a bit crooked so I apologize.   I used a stencil and a bottle of Heidi Swapp Color Shine Mist in Peach to spray the sunburst.  I then carefully used my sewing machine and stitched around the sunburst to give it more detail.

Double page layouts have always been a challenge for me so I suppose it's a good thing to have to scrap them and go outside of my comfort zone.  I do like scrapping events such as birthdays or other celebrations on a two pager when there are multiple photos.

This is my final design team layout with Sketches In Thyme as I am letting someone else have an opportunity to design on the team.  I enjoyed my six month term very much, but think it's time to simplify my life a little more.  It's been great working with Tiffany Call and the rest of the team and I have loved meeting some new scrappy friends.  I plan on visiting and joining some of the challenges as time permits.

  Here is my take on this two page layout of my only daughter who just graduated as a nurse.  We are so proud of her!

and here was my take on this three photo sketch

I had a lot of fun with this sketch of my son and his new iPod Touch that he got for Christmas.

I used the versatile "Little Sport" Collection from Fancy Pants Designs.  I love this collection and although we aren't an athletic family, I still liked all the chevrons and other designs in it and tried to make some of the sportsy embellishments work with this layout such as the little flags and stars.

Sketches In Thyme Design Team Call

Time for a Design Team Call!!

Would you like to be a Sketchy Maven? The 6 month term for
 our talented Mavens is drawing to a close, and while some will
 be staying on, we are looking for new members to join our
 Sketches in Thyme design team! If you enjoy creating 
layouts from sketches, participating in blogs and motivating
 others to take part in challenges, this might be your chance
 to be a part of our Design Team! Your term would run
 November 2012-April 2013, and you would be asked to 
complete 2 layouts per month. If you would like a 
chance to be considered, here's what you need to do:

 part of our SiT DT group)
2-Create a new layout based on our sketch below.
