My Paper House Favorite Products Feature

Hello friends! It's Lee-Anne here today with another layout that I have created for Paper House Productions.

For the next two weeks the designers are sharing their favorite products feature and for me personally, I absolutely love the Autumn Woods Collection.  Such a gorgeous collection with beautiful autumn colors.  I knew that I wanted to scrap my new puppy Syd.

Let's Escape To The Woods Layout Supply List
I began the layout by adding distress inks onto the white cardstock background by pouncing the ink pads onto a splat mat and adding some water to each distress ink color with a water pen.  Place your white cardstock onto the inked and watered splat mat and smoosh around.  Let dry.

I fussy cut the "Let's Escape To The Woods" and all the leaves and added them to the dry inked background with some foam dimensional squares to add some layering and dimension.

I also added some paper strips to the bottom of the layout and also a floral border sticker and then added my journaling with the black pen.

Puffy stickers simply add even more dimension and interest so I added a fox,  flower, leaf,  arrow, branch and "explore" puffy stickers.

I really love the rich autumn colors from this collection from Paper House Productions.  Be sure and check out the Autumn Woods Collection and all the other gorgeous products at Paper House Productions.

Thanks for visiting!

How To Color Foam Thickers With Distress Inks

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing a quick tutorial on how to alter the white foam alphabet stickers or "thickers" with distress ink that are included in the July Main Kit at My Creative Scrapbook.  I know that many times I go to create a project and I don't have the color I am looking for to coordinate with my project so I thought this would be a solution.

To create my layout, you will need:
  • A craft mat or piece of cellophane to place your foam letter stickers on
  • A ink dauber or makeup sponge
  • 6 colors of distress inks - I used Ranger Distress Ink Pads in the colors below

To begin:

Place your foam letters on the craft mat and take your ink dauber and ink it up with the ink and dab or use a pouncing motion and apply it to the foam letters. I inked the word "hot" in Spiced Marmalade, the word "sand" in Picked Raspberry, the word "swim" in Wild Honey, the word "beach" in Twisted Citron, the word "relaxing" in Peacock Feathers and the word "vacation" in Salty Ocean.  Be sure and use a different ink dauber or sponge for each color so they don't get mixed.

Let the inked foam letters dry and then add them to your page as shown below.

Once the letters are adhered down on the background paper, add your photos and then go crazy with the embellishments.  I wanted this layout to be a fun, bright summery page of my son getting buried in the sand at the beach.

I hope you are inspired to try this technique and have fun!  Thanks for stopping by!

Be Youtiful Layout

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a good Wednesday so far. Today I am sharing my last layout with the March Main Kit at My Creative Scrapbook.  I was able to create five layouts with this kit and to make it stretch even further, I added white cardstock backgrounds to most of them with some inking techniques that I will be sharing next week.  There are still some scraps leftover to make a few cards.

For this layout, I created a faux wood background using inks on a white cardstock background.  I had lots of journal cards left over, so I layered them around the photo and added some chipboard and some stickers that I popped up with foam dimensional squares.

Thank you for joining me as I shared this wonderful kit.  Be sure and check out all the amazing kits at My Creative Scrapbook.  I am certain that you will see one that is perfect for you.

In a few days, I will be sharing some layouts with the March Creative Kit so please check back. Have a lovely day!
