Today is also the last Friday of the month and that means it's the monthly use our stash blog hop at Practical Scrappers.  For this month the theme is "anything goes" and I pulled out some papers that have been in my stash for two years that I have been hoarding.  I love all of Fancy Pants Designs paper collections and I'm pretty sure I have most of their collections.  This one is the Trendsetter Collection.

For my layout I added some clear gesso to the white card stock and "painted" on some mist.  I love stars on masculine layouts so I thought I would add a star die cut background from The Cut Shoppe and add random pieces of patterned paper to the middle of each star.  I then added some mist splatters and some wood stars and some handwritten journaling and a flair button that I had in my stash.

The Cut Shoppe And Creative Scrappers Team Up Layout And Sketch

Happy Sunday everyone! Today the design team members from Creative Scrappers and The Cut Shoppe are teaming up and creating with the Creative Scrappers Sketch #276.

It has been a very long time since I have created a baby layout but the photo spoke to me of my eldest son holding my youngest son, his baby brother. They are 15 years apart in age. I had the perfect papers from the Webster's Pages Hello World Collection by Alison Kreft Designs.  I especially love the soft colors, the little onesies, the hot air balloons and the cute foxes in this collection.

La, La, La Love You Layout

Happy day friends!  Today I am sharing my design team layout for The Cut Shoppe. 

I had a lot of fun creating this layout of my daughter and used two cut files from The Cut Shoppe.  For the background, I cut out the design on white card stock and used the negative piece and backed it with papers from The Simple Stories Homespun Collection.  I also cut the title on black card stock and backed it onto some patterned paper to make it stand out against the busy background paper.  Finally, I fussy cut some flowers and added some stickers and enamel hearts.

Very Humbled!

Hello friends!  Happy Friday!  Today I wanted to share some happy news and I am extremely honoured to be published in Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine once again.  I have a layout on page 123 of the 2014 Fall Issue.

I received a copy in my mailbox today and have already read the entire issue.  There are so many ladies that I know that have been published as well.  For my layout, I created a mixed media layout and used drywall tape for texture on my layout.  I took the photos of this adorable deer eating outside my parent's kitchen window.  This little girl was so sweet and so tame that my dad actually hand fed it. It looks like it was smiling in the top photo. Hahaha.

Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine is published in print four times a year and the gals from Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine are a fun, talented bunch.  They are always looking for new submissions from Canadians and if you would like to subscribe to this amazing magazine, then click here and sign up.  It doesn't matter where you live.  They mail it anywhere in the world or there is also an app for your mobile device.

For my layout, I wanted to create a layout of my daughter, son-in-law and their fur baby on their first big road trip with their new motorhome to beautiful Vancouver Island where they had a great vacation exploring the Pacific Ocean and all it has to offer.

Stuck?! Sketches August 15 Sketch & Reveal

Today is reveal day at Stuck?! Sketches for the August 15 sketch.

Recently I visited my older children and their spouses, who live a few hours away.  I snapped these photos of my daughter and printed them in the 2X3 size. I also rotated the sketch by turning it to the right.  For the patterned papers and stickers,  I used Bella Blvd. Scattered Sprinkles Collection as well as some stickers and a crochet heart.  I also added some heart enamel dots.

Some Exciting News!

I have some exciting news to share that I have been keeping to myself for a few weeks.  I was asked to be a new design team member at Creative Embellishments!
