For this layout, I wanted to create a "pointsettia" to place my photo on. I basically drew some petal shapes with a pencil in three sizes, hand cut them with some scissors and assembled three different patterned papers and nested the petals and popped them up with some foam squares.
After the petals were all glued down, I added the chipboard title and some stickers and machine stitching in red thread.
For the layout below, I wanted to use the ribbon and the poinsettia paper in the kit as well as the stamp set. I also used a square paper punch and arranged the green gingham paper punched squares in the shape of a tree and outlined them in a black fine line pen.
For the stamp "joy" I stamped the word "joy" onto a piece of white cardstock in embossing ink and with some black embossing powder, I heat embossed it and then when it was dry fussy cut it out and placed it on the top right corner of my layout.
I fussy cut lots of the little flowers and arranged them on top of the green gingham punched squares and also tied the red ribbon into small bows and arranged them around the tree. I added the "happy holidays" stickers to the bottom right hand corner for the page's title.
I'm glad you stuck with me. This was a photo heavy blog post. I was able to create five layouts and seven cards with the December Creative Kit. I loved working with this kit.
This kit and many more are available at My Creative Scrapbook.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
