Playing With Dolls Layout

Hello friends! Happy Saturday! Today I am sharing a layout that I created of my daughter for A Flair For Buttons.

This one was really fun to create.  I saw a layout that Paige Evans created with envelopes and it inspired me to put my own spin on it.

I began my layout with a white piece of card stock for my background trimmed down to 11.5 inches wide by 11.5 inches long.  I adhered it to a 12X12 piece of patterned paper and machine stitched about a 1/4 inch from the outside edge.

I used my water-colour paints and watercolored in some matching colors that would coordinate with the patterned papers on my layout.  I have this awesome mini envelope paper punch and went ahead and punched out 15 envelopes I then put them in a row of 3 envelopes across by a column of 5 down  and then folded and glued them to the white card stock.

I covered my photo and envelopes and splattered some pink water-colour paint and some black indian ink and let it dry.

Next I began embellishing.

I added some heart stickers and two of the Hashtag Boy Flair Buttons

and tucked them inside the envelopes and then I added some photos that I matted on some patterned paper (all the papers are from the Pinkfresh Studio Up In The Clouds Collection) and punched some circles and added a Summer Gold Foil Flair Button.  I am loving the gold flair at the moment.

Finally, I added my title of alpha stickers and a die cut word that I cut out of gold paper. Here are a few more closeups.

I hope you enjoyed my layout and are inspired to use your flair buttons tucked in little envelopes.  Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to check out the A Flair For Buttons shop for these and hundreds more flair buttons.

My Third Layout For My Creative Scrapbook August Reveal

Hello friends!  Happy Friday! Today I am excited to share with you my third layout as guest designer for August at My Creative Scrapbook using the lovely August Creative Kit.

August Creative Kit
For my third layout I created more of a traditional layout of my husband and I on our fifteenth wedding anniversary last year. I did some fussy cutting, machine stitching and layering on this layout.  I loved one of the 3X4 cards sentiment so I cut it and made it a title for my layout.

Here are some more closeups:

Here are the other kits for August.  There is one for every scrapbooking style.

Today I am excited to share with you my second layout as guest designer for August at My Creative Scrapbook using the lovely August Creative Kit.  This kit is awesome because it features mostly Fancy Pants Designs Summer Sun Collection and Fancy Pants is one of my favorite manufacturers of patterned paper.

For this layout of my youngest son, I used a paper weaving technique  and layered embellishments on top of the weaved paper strips.  Below are more closeups of my layout:

My First Layout For The My Creative Scrapbook August Reveal

Hello friends! Today I am excited because it's reveal day at My Creative Scrapbook with the August kits and I am honored to be a guest designer this month.  I designed four layouts with the August Creative Kit which mostly includes the Fancy Pants Summer Sun Collection.

My Creative Scrapbook August Creative Kit
It was so much fun to work with and I absolutely love the papers, the embellishments and the gold accents to this kit.  Here is my first of four layouts with this awesome kit.  For my layout I used some of the number die cuts from the kit and some brag cards and arranged the numbers and machine stitched over them to adhere them down.  I then added a some layers using brag cards to mat the photo and then added my flair, splats of ink and die cuts.

Here are some closeups:

My Creative Scrapbook Layout And Sneak Peeks

Hello friends! Happy August! I am excited to share my first layout as a guest designer for August at My Creative Scrapbook.  If you haven't seen their kits you are missing out.  They are fabulous! What is so great about My Creative Scrapbook kits, is that there is a kit for everyone and every style.

I created my projects with the August Creative Kit and I love this kit because it has bright, cheery colors and has lots of the Fancy Pants Summer Sun Collection, which I adore.

Here are some more closeups…

I created the above layout using a paper weaving method (tutorial will follow later this month).  This is a great way to use up pieces of patterned paper.

Here are some more sneak peeks of my layouts that will be revealed on August 5.

To view the sneak peeks from the My Creative Scrapbook Design Team, you can see them on the My Creative Scrapbook blog here.

Be sure to check out the August Reveal on August 5.  Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
