Hi scrappy friends!

I thought I would share some of my cards that I created with the fun March Creative Kit for My Creative Scrapbook. I am really digging making cards these days. As you probably noticed, I'm more of layout kind of gal, but when there are so many beautiful scraps left over from the kits, I thought that it was a good idea. It takes me out of my comfort zone and it's fun to give cards to friends and family for a pick me up.

I love the rub ons in the kit. They are very good quality and I thought they were nice to use as my sentiments on the cards.

As you can see, I love the texture that stitching, whether it's a sewing machine or hand stitching creates on the cards. It gives it more of a homemade feel that I love.

Some Christmas Cards

Hello friends! It's that time of year when Christmas cards are mailed to friends and family and I thought I would share some simple Christmas cards that I created with the December Creative Kit for My Creative Scrapbook. I had lots of bits and pieces left from the kit after I made five layouts so I was able to create these seven cards.

My Creative Scrapbook November Cards

Hello friends! I hope you are surviving this Monday. It is very cold and snowy where I live and although the winters are long, I love creating winter paper projects and crafts.

The November Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook is one of my favorite kits because it is totally me.

Anyone that knows me, knows that the mountains and anything rustic and woodsy is my style. The mountains are my favorite place to be and I adore being in the woods and love wildlife. It must have influenced me a lot when I was a child and my family camped in the mountains a lot. My home also reflects this because it is a timber frame style and I love rustic decor and accents. Anyways, I am blabbering.

 Here are five cards that I created with the kit.

I just loved the bear and moose embellishments. 

These were simple cards to make. I used the 3X4 cards from the kit and lots of scraps of paper left over from the kit after I created four layouts. I create the layouts first and make cards with the bits and pieces of papers and embellishments left over. There wasn't too much left from the kit. It was too cute not to use it all up.

Some Cards...

Hello friends! Hope you are all well. Thanks for stopping by! Today I wanted to share some cards. Yes cards. I don't create cards very often because frankly I struggle with such a small amount of space to create and no photo.

I had some leftover scraps of papers and stickers from the My Creative Scrapbook October Creative Kit so I put them to good use. So far I was able to create six layouts and two cards with the kit and still have scraps left. Kits are such a good value!

For this card, I began with a square paper punch and punched out several scraps of patterned paper and cut them in half diagonally and paper pieced a "quilt" design.  

For this card I knew I wanted to use the 3X4 card of the cute little red truck, some leftover ribbon from the kit and the "Fall Blessings" chipboard sticker.

Making these cards were fun! Sometimes a person just has to jump in and create out of their comfort zone. Many times it turns out better than expected.

Joy Card And Merry Christmas Card

Hello friends! For the past week, Just Nick Digital Cut Files has been showcasing cards on their blog.  I thought I would get a head start on my Christmas cards so I decided to create two cards using some of Just Nick's fabulous cut files. As you can see, they aren't just for layouts, they can make some great cards too.

For the Joy Card, I cut out the word "joy" from the Holiday Sentiments cut files with my Silhouette Cameo on black card stock and heat embossed it with black embossing powder. I added some ribbon, machine stitching, red enamel dots, and a red flair button from A Flair For Buttons. The "joy to the world" black text circle was fussy cut from some patterned paper (Bella Blvd. Christmas Illustrated Faith Collection) and also heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  

For the Merry Christmas Card, I cut out the Merry Merry Background 2 cut file on white card stock with my Silhouette Cameo and cut it down to fit the width of the card and centered it on the front of the card and glued it to the background paper. The Christmas tree was also cut out of the black and white tree patterned paper with my Silhouette Cameo from the Tree Trio cut files. Enamel dots and a green felt bow complete the card.

Some Cards To Share

Hello friends! Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian peeps.  Yesterday my family celebrated with a turkey dinner and all the fixings.  It was a nice day and I have so much to be thankful for.

Today I wanted to share some cards that I created with the October Creative Kit at My Creative Scrapbook.  The products used on these cards consist of the cute products from the Doodlebug Design new Flea Market Collection.

There are so many goodies in this kit that I was able to make four layouts and 4 cards with product to spare.

Day 3 of The 14 Days Of Holidays Giveaway

I made three simple holiday cards with this lovely cut file designed by the amazing Nicole Nowosad, owner of Just Nick Digital Cut Files.

For two of the cards, I created them with the new My Mind's Eye Market Street Collection for most of the papers including the gorgeous gold stripe and gold script vellum on the third card.  My Mind's Eye always knows how to wow us with their beautiful collections . The first card is created with papers from the Photoplay Dear Santa Collection.  Photoplay Paper is a new company and I am loving what I am seeing from them so far.

Father's Day Cards

Hello friends! It's Friday! Since Father's Day is a few weeks away, I wanted to share some quick and simple Father's Day cards that I made for my dad and my father-in-law.

I don't make cards very often and it's such a great way to use up paper scraps and save a little money too. I created both of these cards from the Carta Bella Well Played Collection patterned papers with some sequins added in from Fancy Pants Designs. I found a wood title in my stash made my Heidi Swapp so I painted it with some Tim Holtz Barn Door Distress Paint.  I love the dabbers on these paints. It makes painting wood easy peasy.  The label sticker and mini alpha stickers are from Teresa Collins.
