Santa Please Stop Here Christmas Paper Bag Mini Album

Hello friends!

Today I have another mini album to share for A Flair For Buttons using seven, yes seven flair buttons from various flair sets in the shop.

This album was fun to put together. The base of the album is made from kraft paper lunch bags. then covered with design papers, stickers and ephemera die cuts from the adorable Photoplay Paper's Oh Canada Christmas Collection by Becky Fleck Moore.

Here are some photos of the pages, pockets and tags in the album:

This was a lot of fun to create and I can't wait to gift it to my daughter so she can add some Christmas photos.

Have a great creative day!

Stay Wild Mini Album

Hello friends! Today I wanted to share with you a fun mini album that I created of my dog Syd.

Syd and I go for walks near the river and forest near my home just about every day. I snapped these photos with my iPhone of the gorgeous colours of Autumn and thought I would create a fun mini album.

Recently, a very talented lady named Cat Martin opened up an Etsy store named The Minty Octopus. She designs gorgeous digital papers and elements and when I saw this new collection named Norwegian Wood, I knew I wanted it to create this album. Be sure to check out her Etsy store.

First I downloaded the papers and elements from the kit and resized them in my Silhouette Designer Edition software and used the Print And Cut feature on my Silhouette Cameo and printed them out on Epson Premium Matte Presentation Paper on my Epson home printer.

After I made the foundation of my album and embellished it with ribbon and the elements, I thought I would add several flair buttons from A Flair For Buttons to make it more fun. When I add binder rings to my mini albums, it gives me the opportunity to add more "lumps and bumps" to my pages without being concerned that the mini album will be too bulky to open and close the pages with ease.

Here are my pages:

I want to thank you for visiting my blog today. Have a great day and happy creating!

Lori

Hello friends! Happy Friday! Today I wanted to share a layout that I created of my daughter in law Lori. She is such a beautiful soul and I am so proud of her.

I added two flair buttons from A Flair For Buttons. The "Be Brave" flair button is from the Inspirational Words 4 Flair Set and the orange circles flair button is from the Pastel Circle Flair Set.

I began creating the layout by purchasing  the A Flower Bunch Cut File designed by Paige Evans. I cut it out on white card stock with my Silhouette Cameo.

I used the cut file as a "stencil" and created two layouts. For this layout I used the positive shape. First I took my Vicki Boutin Small Stencil Brush and Vicki Boutin's Art Crayons and dry brushed the cut file. Then I backed the cut file with patterned papers from Vicki Boutin's All The Good Things 7X10 Paper Pad.

I began by blending some Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide, with a round foam applicator, onto Vicki Boutin's All The Good Things 12" X 12" White Foundations Mixed Media Art Paper. I placed the cut file on top and popped it up with several foam squares to give it some depth. To embellish the layout,  I added ephemera pieces and stickers from Paige Evan's Pick-Me-Up Collection and sprinkled some enamel dots from Pinkfresh Studios and the title of the layout "Lori" with some gold alphabet stickers that were also from Pinkfresh Studios.

I am happy how this layout turned out. Be sure and check out the A Flair For Buttons shop for hundreds of flair buttons that are suitable for so many themes.

Have a creative day!

Bloom

Hello friends! Today I wanted to share a layout that I created for A Flair For Buttons using some flair from the new Watercolor Splatters Flair Set.

As soon as I saw these flair, I knew that I wanted to add them to my layout. I chose the green, pink and blue flair buttons from the set to add to my layout. The colors coordinate perfectly with the colors of my layout. I strategically placed them in a triangle to draw the eyes around the page.

I put my We R Memory Keepers Stitch Happy Sewing Machine to work and machine stitched in pink, aqua, and citrine thread on the white card stock background. When I planned out the page, I wanted to stitch a design that would draw the eye to the flower.

The photo was matted on some papers from the new Photoplay Paper Mad For Plaid Happy Collection. I really love the plaid and the colors in this collection. Also, I added some stickers popped up with foam dots, and die cut some butterflies on vellum and wrapped some citrine thread around the centers of the butterflies.

The cut file and title were free digital cut files from Scrapbook Nerd. I cut the title on black card stock and the floral cut file on white card stock with my electronic die cutting machine. I wanted the title to really pop so I added some faux stitching with a white gel pen.

For the floral cut file, I used some Vicki Boutin Art Crayons and water to paint the flowers and added some enamel dots to the middle of the flowers.

I am really pleased how my layout turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the A Flair For Buttons shop to view hundreds of flair sets for every theme.
