Lori

Hello friends! Happy Friday! Today I wanted to share a layout that I created of my daughter in law Lori. She is such a beautiful soul and I am so proud of her.

I added two flair buttons from A Flair For Buttons. The "Be Brave" flair button is from the Inspirational Words 4 Flair Set and the orange circles flair button is from the Pastel Circle Flair Set.

I began creating the layout by purchasing  the A Flower Bunch Cut File designed by Paige Evans. I cut it out on white card stock with my Silhouette Cameo.

I used the cut file as a "stencil" and created two layouts. For this layout I used the positive shape. First I took my Vicki Boutin Small Stencil Brush and Vicki Boutin's Art Crayons and dry brushed the cut file. Then I backed the cut file with patterned papers from Vicki Boutin's All The Good Things 7X10 Paper Pad.

I began by blending some Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide, with a round foam applicator, onto Vicki Boutin's All The Good Things 12" X 12" White Foundations Mixed Media Art Paper. I placed the cut file on top and popped it up with several foam squares to give it some depth. To embellish the layout,  I added ephemera pieces and stickers from Paige Evan's Pick-Me-Up Collection and sprinkled some enamel dots from Pinkfresh Studios and the title of the layout "Lori" with some gold alphabet stickers that were also from Pinkfresh Studios.

I am happy how this layout turned out. Be sure and check out the A Flair For Buttons shop for hundreds of flair buttons that are suitable for so many themes.

Have a creative day!

Santa Layout

Hello friends! Today I am sharing a Christmas layout of my two oldest children when they were sitting on Santa's lap.

I am not going to lie, this layout took me a few hours, but it was created with love and I am happy with the result.

I first began with a beautiful Silhouette cut file (Design #228022) designed by Paige Evans and cut it on my Silhouette Cameo with a sheet of Silhouette white adhesive card stock. I backed it with some red and green patterned papers from Bella Blvd. and embellished it with some black sequins, red and green enamel dots, Bella Blvd. die cuts, a bow and fun flair buttons from A Flair For Buttons. They are all from the Christmas Fun 2 Flair Set. I clustered, layered and arranged the flair buttons, stickers and die cuts in a triangle around the photo to direct the eyes around the photo.

I also added some black sequins from Fancy Pants Designs that I had in my stash as well as some red and green enamel dots from Bella Blvd.

I completed the layout with some machine stitching along the outside edge in red thread.

Thanks for visiting today. Have a wonderful day!

Everyday Silly Pumpkins

Hello friends! I hope you are doing well. Today at A Flair For Buttons, I am sharing this layout of these cute kiddos.

It's not your typical colors for an autumn layout, but there are no rules in scrapbooking and I sometimes get bored with the usual colors and want to try something fresh.

For this layout I chose papers, die cuts and sequins from the Paige Evan's Turn The Page Collection. I'm a huge fan of Paige's designs and I thought while I'm at it, it would be a good reason to use some of her awesome cut files from the Silhouette online store. I chose the Pumpkin (Design ID #222477) and the Cloud Trio (Design ID #216711). I cut the designs on white cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo and backed them with patterned paper. For the clouds, I backed them with vellum, added some sequins and backed them with patterned paper.

Whenever I can, I love to use flair buttons on my projects and when I saw this cute winking emoji in my stash, which is from the Faces Flair Set, I knew I wanted to include it on my layout so I placed it on top of the tag to the left of my photo to direct the eyes to the photo.

I also am a huge fan of hearts and I found this flair button from the Woodland Creatures Flair Set and decided to place it on the bottom right corner of my layout.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today. Be sure and check out all the eye candy flair at A Flair For Buttons.

Happy scrapping!

Two Layouts To Share

Happy Sunday! Today I have two layouts to share with you.  I completed a class of Paige Evans over at Big Picture Scrapbooking called Paige's Pages 04.  Let me tell you I love Paige's style and I can't tell you how much she inspires me and it helps me take my creativity to a whole new level.  Sometimes I love to be challenged and Paige helps me think outside the box.

Both these layouts were created with the new So Rad Collection of patterned papers by Simple Stories.  I have made four layouts with this collection and I can't get enough of it.  The colors are fabulous.  The title "Rad" was created from a cut file at Just Nick Digital Cut Files.

The first layout was using paper strips.  I love this photo of my youngest son.

and this layout was using confetti.  I designed the large "Fall Title" on my Silhouette Cameo and for the  "Changing Leaves" title I purchased from Kerri Bradford Studios.  I love Fall and took this photo last year of a beautiful acreage near my home.

I won't go into detail about the creative process of these layouts because it's Paige Evan's class and I urge you to take it if you want to get creative.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Brothers Forever Layout

Happy Saturday!  Last night I was looking on Pinterest and I was totally inspired by a layout I saw of the amazingly talented and sweet Paige Evans.  I thought I would give it a try and this layout proves  that a person doesn't need to throw out those tiny strips of paper they have laying around.

I must admit this is a labor intensive layout but I am so happy how it turned out.  The photo is of my two sons at a local amusement park two summers ago.  My oldest son is 30 and my youngest son is 15 so my youngest looks up to his older brother as an example and a mentor.  I love it.

I used the new So Rad Collection by Simple Stories and this is the fourth layout with this collection and I had lots of scraps of paper so this type of layout is perfect to use up those scraps.

Of course my favorite embellishment is flair buttons so I added one from A Flair For Buttons.

I used my Silhouette Cameo and a cut file from the Silhouette Online Store to cut out the large stars in the white card stock and the smaller orange stars.  I used my sewing machine to stitch around the larger stars on the white card stock.

Jillibean Soup has some wonderful wood buttons so I added those to the center of the orange stars.

Finally I added some Jillibean Soup little star enamel embellishments and some Heidi Swapp Colorshine "Tea" mist splatters.  I felt the orange stars needed a little more pop so I got out my black pen and added some faux stitching.

This took up my evening last night but I always am happy to share my layouts with my sons and show them how special they are to me.

Thanks for looking and I hope you have an awesome day!

In The Garden Layout

Hello friends! Happy Monday! There is only one more week until my son goes back to school and I can't believe how summer has gone by so fast.

Today I wanted to share a layout that I created of my daughter.  She loves gardening and she is amazing at it.  She grows all her annuals from seed and has an amazing garden.

This layout was so fun to make.  I am taking a class taught by Paige Evans and this layout is for an assignment to use a cut file background and watercolors.   Paige Evans designed the cut file that I cut out on my Silhouette Cameo.

I used several papers from the Simple Stories Summer Vibes Collection and some watercolors around the die cuts to make the flowers pop.

My layout wouldn't have been complete without these cute In The Garden Flair buttons from A Flair For Buttons.

Don't you just love these?  I especially love the "got dirt" flair button.  Here are some more detailed photos of my layout.  I used some Tim Holtz Distress Inks and a water brush for some of the watercolors and also a water-colour set I bought at Michael's.

I love the summery, fresh feel to this page.  Sometimes it is good to take a class and get new ideas.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
