Hello friends! Today I wanted to share with you a fun mini album that I created of my dog Syd.
Syd and I go for walks near the river and forest near my home just about every day. I snapped these photos with my iPhone of the gorgeous colours of Autumn and thought I would create a fun mini album.
Recently, a very talented lady named Cat Martin opened up an Etsy store named The Minty Octopus. She designs gorgeous digital papers and elements and when I saw this new collection named Norwegian Wood, I knew I wanted it to create this album. Be sure to check out her Etsy store.
First I downloaded the papers and elements from the kit and resized them in my Silhouette Designer Edition software and used the Print And Cut feature on my Silhouette Cameo and printed them out on Epson Premium Matte Presentation Paper on my Epson home printer.
After I made the foundation of my album and embellished it with ribbon and the elements, I thought I would add several flair buttons from A Flair For Buttons to make it more fun. When I add binder rings to my mini albums, it gives me the opportunity to add more "lumps and bumps" to my pages without being concerned that the mini album will be too bulky to open and close the pages with ease.
Here are my pages:
I want to thank you for visiting my blog today. Have a great day and happy creating!

Featured At Scrapbook Expo
Hello friends! Hope you are having a great weekend so far. I am excited to be featured in the "Weekly Scrapper" feature on the Scrapbook Expo blog today.
I originally created this particular layout for Paper House Productions using the beautiful new Autumn Woods collection and my distress inks to give it more of an artsy background. Syd is my new puppy who has stolen my heart and has also helped me to get outside and walk.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you stay a while and check out my blog.

Cherish
Hello friends! Happy Sunday! Today I thought I would share another layout that I created with the August Main Kit at My Creative Scrapbook.
I thought it was perfect for scrapping this photo of my daughter's dog Elly. The kit consists of some beautiful papers, ephemera and flair buttons from the Fancy Pants Life Is Beautiful Collection.
I loved the foam words and hearts in this collection. I added some paper behind the foam hearts and trimmed around the edge.
As you probably know already, I love flair buttons! Fancy Pants always has some really cute ones to go along with their collections.
Check out all the kits available now at My Creative Scrapbook.
Have a wonderful day!

Practical Scrappers Ten Things - Hearts
Valentine's Day is just around the corner and the challenge today is to use a heart punch in different ways. I don't have a heart punch so I got my trusted Silhouette Cameo ready and created a heart stencil. I then used my distress inks and mists and created the background on the white card stock.
I also stamped on some of the cut out hearts, placed some feathers and twine and did a little machine stitching.
I used the Devoted Collection from Carta Bella. I love grey, pink and aqua together. It is a refreshing change from the typical colours that are usually associated with Valentine's Day.
Come see what my Practical Scrappers Ten Things teammates came up with using a heart punch here.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will look at heart punches in a totally new way.

Canadian Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge
Every month there is a new sketch over at Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine. As you probably already know, I am a sketch fanatic so I thought I would give this sketch a try. I thought I would challenge myself to take out some mists and masks and maybe try a different medium such as some glass beads to give the layout more texture.

This was a lot of fun to create and it was fun to get inky and messy. Purple for me is not a colour I find easy to work with but thought I would mix it with some green and blue for a more pastel effect. My daughter adores her dog and when I was staying with her one weekend I took this photo. I love candid photos the best.
I hope you enjoyed this and if you like to be challenged or just need a starting point then check out Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine's Sketchy Challenge here.
Have a great Tuesday!

Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #308
Woohoo! Another sketch is revealed at Scrapbook Challenges and I absolutely loved this sketch designed by a newbie team member Lyvian. Sometimes when a person creates, it just feels so good and this layout is one of them that I really had the warm and fuzzy feeling with.
It's a layout on my daughter's nephew Quinn and her dog Elly. I loved the photo the minute I saw it and had to scrap it. I used Echo Park's This & That Charming Collection. The colours really spoke to me.
Here are the sketches for this week:
and last but not least the double sketch
I love being part of this design team and it always keeps me inspired. I hope it inspires you to be creative too. Have a wonderful week!
