Little Monster Layout And A Freebie!

Happy Tuesday! Sometimes I like to create layouts with a bit of humor because life is way too serious, don't you think?

This little girl is full of beans and I love her spunkiness so when I saw these photos, I knew I had to use the Happy Little Monster Cut Files and create a title with the Striped Alphabet from Just Nick Digital Cut Files.

I used my digital diecutting machine to cut out the monster shapes on some bright papers from the Bo Bunny Lil Monster Collection.  As soon as I saw the title Happy Little Monster, I knew I had these papers in my stash that were screaming to be used.

As you have probably noticed, if you read my blog regularly, I like to embellish my layouts with flair buttons just for good measure.

Do you know of a little monster that you can create a layout on?  Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out these cut files and hundreds more in the Just Nick Digital Cut Files store.

If you have read this far, that is good because there is a freebie cut file that is available to download until midnight April 30, 2016.  Be sure and use the code RAINFREE at checkout.  Isn't it great?

Happy creating!

Wild Child Layout

Hello friends! I hope you are having a good weekend.  I know I am enjoying the last day of summer.  Officially in my home it is the last day of summer vacation as my youngest son goes back to school tomorrow.  It was a really hot summer and also smoky with all the forest fires but I must say I really enjoyed it.  Enough about that.

I wanted to share a layout I created for the August 28 Scrap And Chat Challenge over at Paper Issues.  It was so much fun to hang out with a fun bunch of ladies on Friday night.  They are all so upbeat and it was a great way to unwind after a crazy busy week.  For the challenge I used paint, patterned paper, sequins and journaling.  Here is the layout I came up with for the challenge:

I am really on a paper punching kick at the moment and using 6X6 paper pads.  This one was in my stash and it is the Simple Stories Hello Baby Collection.

Thanks for stopping by.  I have a great week!

Hello Baby Girl

Hello friends! I hope you are doing well.  Summer is a time to slow down a bit so I haven't been as busy blogging but I recently went on a four day scrapbooking retreat and it was so nice to relax and not have to cook and to scrapbook to my heart's content.

This layout was one of the layouts I created and it wasn't for any design team assignments it was just for the simple pleasure of creating.

I used the Pinkfresh Studio Up In The Clouds Collection of papers and found some DMC embroidery floss in my stash to add some more interest and texture to the layout.

For the title, I created it in on Silhouette Studio and cut it out on white card stock and backed it with these colourful patterned papers and then hand stitched around the letters.

For the circles, I punched them with a paper punch and then used my sewing machine to sew around and through the circles.  For the outside of the circles, I hand stitched with some embroidery floss.

Thanks for stopping by!  Tomorrow I will be back with two layouts that I created for the Simple Stories/A Flair For Buttons Blog Hop/Product Swap using the beautiful Summer Vibes Collection. So be sure and visit!

I hope you have a great day and do something you love.

April 1 Sketch At Stuck?! Sketches

Hello friends! Happy April Fools Day! Today is the beginning of a new month and there is another fabulous sketch to reveal at Stuck?! Sketches. Here is my take on the sketch:

I used the Echo Park Creative Agenda Collection for all the papers and stickers on this layout.  The flair buttons are from A Flair For Buttons and the cute wool heart is from Bella Blvd.  I added some mist splatters here and there with Heidi Swapp's Colorshine in Mustard Yellow.  Finally I added some machine stitching.

Now for the sketch that I used designed by Laura Whitaker:

Another great sketch, don't you think?

This will be my last Stuck?! Sketches layout until the Fall. I have decided to take a little break and hope to come back in September.  I will continue to create, whether it is layouts, photography, baking or crafts so be sure and keep visiting my blog.  Have a great day!

Love Today Layout For The Cut Shoppe

Hello friends!  Happy Tuesday!  Today I am happy to share my very first layout for The Cut Shoppe

I wanted to create a fun, summer page of this little cutie.  Triangles are very trendy at the moment and I love this cut file that Ashley Horton designed.  To complete the layout, I added the die cut title on a journaling card. The paper collection is Summer Lovin' from Carta Bella.

I added some doodling to the bottom and top of the white card stock and also some of the triangles for more texture.  I hope you like my layout. You can find these cut files and many more in The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store here.  Thanks for stopping by!

Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine March Sketchy Challenge

Hello friends!  Every month I try to play along with the Sketchy Challenge at Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine.  Here is the March Sketch designed by Sue Sykes
Here is the layout that I came up with for the sketch

I used an assortment of older collections of Bella Blvd. for the papers and fussy cut the tree and flower and cut the title, bow border, photo corners and embellishments with my Silhouette Cameo.  Finally I added some sequins.  I love sequins at the moment and use them on most of my layouts these days.  Purple is a difficult color for me but think that this turned out okay.  I didn't want to change the photo to black and white for this layout so tried to work with the purple.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Sweet Angel Layout

Happy Saturday!  It's the first day of March and I don't know about you, but I couldn't be happier that it's that much closer to spring.  Where I live, it has been the longest winter that I can remember and it will be nice to welcome flowers and warmer days.

Today is the March 1 Sketch Reveal day at Stuck?! Sketches and here is another fabulous sketch from my talented friend Laura Whitaker.  I love her sketches.

For my layout I thought I would create something with more of a soft, spring feel to the page of this little cutie.  Aren't children so precious when they sleep?  My friend Stephanie from Rockwood Photography gave me this precious photo to scrapbook with and I was happy to oblige.

Thanks for stopping by and check out the entire team's reveal over at Stuck?! Sketches and play along for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate from Creative Embellishments.  Upload your entries by March 29, 2014 here.   Happy scrapping!

Bee Mine Layout

Happy Saturday!  Today at Stuck?! Sketches is the reveal for the February 15 sketch created by an amazing lady and friend Laura Whitaker

For my layout I rotated the sketch and used only one photo.

This is Hanna.  She is known by the nickname "Hanna Bee".  She is my daughter's niece and I wanted to scrap this adorable little girl and her big blue eyes.  This layout was created with the Be Loved Collection by Fancy Pants as well asa some crocheted hearts by Bella Blvd., some paint splatters with Heidi Swapp's Colorshine Collection of mists.

I also cut some vellum hearts with my Silhouette Cameo.  I love the way it cuts vellum like butter.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check out the entire design team's take on Laura's sketch here and link up this month for a chance to win a great prize.  Happy scrapping!
