Scrap It With A Song - Rumour Has It

The Rock Chicks are at it again scrapping and dancing to "Rumour Has It" by Adele.

Don't you just love Adele?  I always love to scrap to her music and was so excited to create a layout.

Rumour Has It...You Take The Cake

This was a fun layout to create of my youngest son and I thought it would be perfect for Valentine's Day.  I used my stamps and paint dabbers to stamp the edge of the white card stock and then machine stitched along the inside edge of the stamped dots.  I also used my music stamp to give it a musical feel to the page.  Again I used my black paint dabber to stamp the music notes.  If you notice the loopy felt flower and the grey and pink rose, I created those myself.  Lastly, I layered some stickers and die cuts with dimensional adhesive squares to give it some dimension.  I used a banner diecut and some sticker die cuts from Bo Bunny Love Letters Collection.

I hope you are inspired to play along!  Thanks to the fabulous DT member Dana Tatar, there is a great prize for you this month too!  Add your project created for this or any of our January songs for your chance to win 12 spools of colored twine from American Crafts!

Link up your creations here in Scrap It With A Song's sidebar before January 31st for a chance to win or to be featured as one of our January favourites!

Have a wonderful, creative day!

Scrap It With A Song - Favorite Christmas Carol

Do you ever get the great feeling inside when you feel that what you created touches you deeply?  That's how I feel about this layout.  Today at Scrap It With A Song, both Team A and Team B have shared our creations on our favorite Christmas carol.  The song I chose is "Silent Night".  It is very calming and spiritual to me.
Silent Night

I used lots of different mediums for this layout and this is of a photo I took last winter on a very calm winter's night at dusk.  This layout was inspired by the December 2012 sketch at C'est Magnifique and Keren Tamir.

I hope you play along with us and that you are inspired.  Come along and join us at Scrap It With A Song and scrap your favorite Christmas carol.  We are looking for new design team members as well.
Have a great day!

Scrap It With A Song - A Thousand Years

Today the Rock Chicks are rocking to the song "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri.

This is such a romantic song and since I'm a hopeless romantic, I thought this layout of my husband and I on our recent wedding anniversary would be the perfect thing to scrapbook.

A Thousand Years

I used an older collection of My Mind's Eye called Andrea Victoria for the papers and my mom gave me some vintage buttons that she has had in a jar forever.  I also used some pearls from Queen and Company and also a jewel flourish from Prima.  The sketch is courtesy of Page Drafts.

Wouldn't this be a perfect song for a wedding dance or a 50th wedding anniversary?  Enjoy and link up your layout over at Scrap It With A Song by October 31, 2012.  Looking forward to seeing your creations!

On The Road Again...

Being a "Rock Chick" over at Scrap It With A Song makes it fun to sing and scrapbook.

This week we scrapped and sang to the tune "On The Road Again" by Willie Nelson.

On The Road Again
I used the "Happy Days" collection from Echo Park for this one of my husband and his car.

Come join us at Scrap It With A Song and play along.

Have a fun day!
