Summer Layout

Hello friends! Today I wanted to share a layout I created for design team work at Just Nick Digital Cut Files.  I am in love with Nicole Nowosad's cut files and had a lot of fun creating this layout.

I used the Flower Burst cut file to create the flower background.

I cut it out on white card stock on my Silhouette Cameo and backed it with some bright, fun patterned papers from the new Summer Sun Collection by Fancy Pants Designs.  I actually used the 6X6 paper pad from this collection as the prints are tinier.

The title was cut from the Summer Words cut files.

I actually cut the word summer twice, once on black card stock and one on a mint green paper.

I embellished with some twine, clear white butterflies from Maya Road, and some enamel hearts.

Both of these cut files and hundreds more can be purchased in the Just Nick Store.

Thanks for visiting my blog and hope you have a wonderful day and have time to do something you love.

Beautiful Daughter Layout

Hello friends! Happy Sunday! Today I wanted to share a layout I created of my daughter.

My Silhouette Cameo is my favorite scrapbooking item and I use it for most of my layouts.  I love the way it cuts out intricate designs.  This summer, I have been taking an online class of Paige Evans and after taking this class, I have so many ideas bubbling up in my head that I just want to scrapbook all the time.

For this layout, I used the Echo Park Jack And Jill Collection of patterned papers, ephemera, chipboard and of course my favorite embellishments which are flair buttons from A Flair For Buttons.

I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting my blog!

Autumn Layout

Hello friends! Today I am sharing an autumn layout over at the A Flair For Buttons Blog that  I created with flair buttons, a square paper punch, some patterned paper scraps and some embroidery floss.  This layout was inspired by Paige Evans.

I inked my white card stock background with some Tim Holtz Wild Honey Distress Ink and then used my one inch square paper punch and punched several squares from a 6X6 paper pad of Doodlebug Designs Friendly Forest patterned papers.  Since the patterns are busy, I thought it would be better to use the 6X6 paper pad as the prints are smaller.  It's a great way to use paper pads!  I arranged them in heart shapes and hand stitched around the hearts in some brown DMC Embroidery Floss.

Next I cut the "Autumn" title on my Silhouette Cameo.  The cut file is created from Kerri Bradford Studio.

I used 2 different flair button sets for my layout and arranged them in a triangle to draw the eye around the layout.  I used flair from two sets in the A Flair For Buttons Shop.

July 2015 Scrapping Our Stash Blog Hop

Hello friends! I hope you are enjoying all the inspiration so far on the blog hop.  You should have arrived here from Charity's blog but if not, you can start back at the beginning of the hop because you don't want to miss all the inspiration:

I love stash busting and using up lots of scraps of patterned papers so I used my circle punch and punched out several circles from the Summer Squeeze Collection by Bella Blvd. and cut them in half and then half again to create pie shapes.  I then arranged them in two large circles and then machine stitched around the design.

I layered some die cuts and stickers behind the photos.

I finished the layout with a die cut title from Just Nick Digital Cut Files that I cut out on my Silhouette Cameo and inked it with some ink.

Thanks for stopping by.  Now it's time to hop over to Alison's  blog. Happy hopping!

…And Away We Go Layout

Hello friends! I hope you are enjoying your day.  Today I wanted to share a layout that I created with some inspiration from Paige Evans.  Paige is a very talented scrapbooker and I love the way she can come up with amazing designs and how she always thinks outside the box.

For my layout,  I used the Fancy Pants Nautical Collection and decided to go with an anchor shape that was applicable to the nautical theme. This photo was taking on a Hawaii Cruise I took and the ship was sailing beside the Napoli Coast.  This is a great way to use scraps of paper.

I machine stitched around the design and embellished with some Fancy Pants buttons, stickers, die cuts, chipboard, and a  mini bag that are also from the Fancy Pants Nautical Collection. To complete the layout I added some twine, and a flair button from A Flair For Buttons.  Below are a few photos of closeups:

This was so fun to do and although it was time consuming, I think the end result made it worth it.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing day!

Love You Layout

Hello friends! Today I wanted to share a layout I created of my daughter.  This was way back in 1999 when she was 12 and just became a big sister to my youngest son.

I cut out my background cut file (A Just Nick Digital Cut File named Fantastic Floral Background) on white card stock with my Silhouette Cameo and backed it with some Bella Blvd. paper.

I then took out my watercolors and painted the petals of the die cut background with the same colors as the striped paper (orange, grey, red, pink, yellow, green, and blue) from the Bella Blvd. Scattered Sprinkles Collection.

I also painted around the outside edge of the die cut background with watercolors, added some paint splatters and journaling.

To finish the layout I added a Bella Blvd. orange crochet heart, felt bow, some stickers for the title, enamel dots and some DMC floss.

I am happy how it turned out.  I hope you like it too.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
