Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine October Sketchy Challenge

Hello scrappy friends!  As I am writing this blog post, there is a snow storm in my area and I am enjoying the coziness with the fireplace.   One thing that I know for sure, is that it's perfect weather  for scrapbooking and that's what I  did this past weekend.

Every month at Canadian Scrapbooker, there is a sketch challenge.  For October's Sketchy Challenge, Sue Sykes,  designed the sketch and I got busy creating a layout of this adorable pair.  Hanna likes to wink at the moment and this brother and sister team look so adorable in their Fall clothes.  Here's the sketch.

Here is what I came up with.

The background is misted with several October Afternoon Sprinklers and I also misted the chipboard letters for the title with mists too.

I am loving the wood embellishments at the moment and placed a few of these cute little birds on the page as well as some corrugated shapes wrapped with twine to give more texture and interest to the layout.
Finally I used some paint and stain and tinted the chipboard pumpkin shape and added some twine
Well there you have it.  A Fall page of these two cuties that are my daughter's niece and nephew.  I love scrapping them.  They always make me smile.

There is still time to participate in the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine October Sketchy Challenge.  The deadline to upload your layout is October 31.  Here is the link.

Have an awesome day!  Thanks for stopping by!

Furry Friend

Today I am sharing a layout that I created for Kreaxion Punches.

I wanted to give the outside corners of the background paper more interest and direct the eyes towards the photos.

I used Kreaxions 4 In 1 Punch #307 with Insert C to create this design.

Practical Scrappers Halloween Layout

I hope you are having a good week.  Happy Friday!  Today I am sharing a Halloween layout that I created of these adorable kiddos for Practical Scrappers.  I used some papers from the Bella Blvd. Trick Or Treat Collection and lots of embellishments from my stash.  I love the cute owl paper in this collection.

Too Cute To Spook
Adhesive - 3L, Scotch
Diecut Leaf - Silhouette America
Embellishment (cork arrow) - Fancy Pants Designs
Embossing Powder - Stampendous
Flair Button - The Paper Bakery
Journal Tags - Maya Road
Letter Stickers - Bella Blvd., October Afternoon
Patterned Papers - Bella Blvd. (Trick Or Treat, Daily Chevies)
Rotating Stamp - American Crafts
Wood Embellishments - Studio Calico
Machine Stitching

I machine stitched through some of the letter stickers in the title.

For the twine heart, I placed a bead of glue in the shape of a heart and adhered the twine with a little wood embellishment in the middle.

I found this great little twine that had the halloween colors and wrapped twine around the cork arrow.

Flair buttons are so popular right now and I love using them on many of my layouts. The leaf was cut with my Cameo and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

These cuties are my daughter's niece and nephew and I smile when I see them.
There are lots more layouts and cards at Practical Scrappers to check out and don't forget that Paper Issues is having a giveaway on their blog.  You can check it out here.   Have a great day!

Moments Of Fall

It's another Sunday and today I am sharing a layout with you that I created celebrating Fall.  Around my neck of the woods, the leaves are falling and it is beautiful but bittersweet because winter is just around the corner and I can't say that I am looking forward to it.  Maybe because I have always lived where the winters can be very cold and snowy.

Moments Of Fall

Adhesive - Helmar, Scotch
Brad - GCD Studios
Cardstock - Recollections
Chipboard Letters - American Crafts
Circle Cutter - Kreaxions
Cork Arrow Sticker - Fancy Pants Designs
Diecuts - Silhouette America Designs #50096, #21368
Embossing Powder - Stampendous
Flair Button - The Paper Bakery
Ink - Versamark
Mini Letter Stickers -  Authentique
Mists - Heidi Swapp Color Shine (Mustard, Peach)
Patterned Papers (We R Memory Keepers - Country Livin' Collection
Ribbon - May Arts
Pen - Marvy Uchida
Punch - Kreaxions 4 In 1 Punch #312
Twine - Unknown
Machine Stitching
Silhouette Cameo
I cut all the leaves with my Silhouette Cameo and then inked them up with some Versamark Ink and then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder.  I cut out some circles with my Kreaxions Circle Cutter and also punched some little designs with my Kreaxions 4 In 1 Punch #312 to give some extra dimension.  Heidi Swapp Color Shine Mists are my go to mists for most of my layouts these days and for this layout I mixed some Peach and Mustard together to achieve a nice peachy shade and then splattered it on my page.  For the photos I cut our some polaroid frames that I cut with my Cameo and also machine stitched around the frames for more interest as well as the paper strips on the top and bottom of my layout.  Here are some more closeups of my layout and of the amazing Circle Cutter and 4 in 1 Punch #312.

Did I mention that I love Kreaxions products and that they are so fun to use?

The Circle Cutter by Kreaxions as well as the 4 in 1 Kreaxions Punch #312 can be purchased here in the online store.
