Creative Scrappers Sketch #268

Hello everyone!  Today I wanted to share a layout I created for a challenge at Creative Scrappers.

I love Creative Scrappers sketches and I really love Sketch #268 and had to play along.  Circles are one of my favorite things to create with on a layout.  For this layout I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out 9 circles in the white card stock and also cut out another sheet of card stock of the flower circles.  I used the Doodlebug Designs Springtime Collection of patterned papers and stickers and made each circle its own little "layout".

Here is the sketch #268 created by Jenny Evans

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have time to be creative.

Never Grow Up Layout

Hello friends!  I hope you are having a good Monday.  Today I wanted to share a layout I created from a wonderful sketch designed by Kristine Davidson for the Creative Scrappers Sketch #261.

I was really inspired by this sketch and I wanted to scrap these photos of my husband and son having fun at the beach on our summer vacation a few years back.

I stayed true to the sketch.  I used some patterned papers from the Rough & Tumble Collection by Carta Bella.  They have such beautiful quality papers.   I love everything nautical and the cute little sailboat paper from this collection was perfect.  I also die cut some sailboat cards, some star shapes and the title with my Silhouette Cameo. Here are some more closeups.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing day!

Practical Scrappers Halloween Layout

I hope you are having a good week.  Happy Friday!  Today I am sharing a Halloween layout that I created of these adorable kiddos for Practical Scrappers.  I used some papers from the Bella Blvd. Trick Or Treat Collection and lots of embellishments from my stash.  I love the cute owl paper in this collection.

Too Cute To Spook
Adhesive - 3L, Scotch
Diecut Leaf - Silhouette America
Embellishment (cork arrow) - Fancy Pants Designs
Embossing Powder - Stampendous
Flair Button - The Paper Bakery
Journal Tags - Maya Road
Letter Stickers - Bella Blvd., October Afternoon
Patterned Papers - Bella Blvd. (Trick Or Treat, Daily Chevies)
Rotating Stamp - American Crafts
Wood Embellishments - Studio Calico
Machine Stitching

I machine stitched through some of the letter stickers in the title.

For the twine heart, I placed a bead of glue in the shape of a heart and adhered the twine with a little wood embellishment in the middle.

I found this great little twine that had the halloween colors and wrapped twine around the cork arrow.

Flair buttons are so popular right now and I love using them on many of my layouts. The leaf was cut with my Cameo and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

These cuties are my daughter's niece and nephew and I smile when I see them.
There are lots more layouts and cards at Practical Scrappers to check out and don't forget that Paper Issues is having a giveaway on their blog.  You can check it out here.   Have a great day!

Live In Colour - A Mixed Media Layout

Hello friends!

Today I am so honoured to be guest designing for Susan Weckesser and excited to share my layout.

I love Susan's bright colours and whimsical papers.  For this layout I used some Liquitex Modeling Paste and a stencil and added some designs to the background as well as some ink splatters with Heidi Swapp's Color Shine Mists in Primrose, and Mint Green.

I then misted a piece of corrugated cardboard.

I fussy cut the sun, a quote card and the bird and house from Susan's patterned papers.  For the sun I adhered some yellow twine and used the stencil to add more texture to the roof of the house.

I stamped with Susan's Unity Heart Stamp with a pink Pitt Big Brush Pen and cut out the heart and layered it underneath my diecut and misted title that I cut with my Silhouette Cameo.

Finally, I journaled and embellished with a cute camera paper clip from Prima and some flair buttons from The Paper Bakery.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #345

Happy Monday!  It's a happy Monday here as I am sitting writing this from my computer at a scrapbooking retreat.  It has been wonderful to relax, scrapbook and eat the most amazing food.  Today Sketch #345 is revealed

I created a layout on my hubby's birthday last week.  I strayed from the sketch and did my own twist with the paper strips at the bottom.  I used the Fancy Pants Swagger Collection for the papers.

I hope you are inspired to create a layout from the sketch.

Have a wonderful day!

SWAT Girl For May - Tic Tac Toe

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

Today at S.W.A.T. I am featured as the SWAT Girl for May.  I was very honoured to take part and had fun creating this layout for my good friend Anna who has the cutest little grandson.  This layout was the tic tac toe challenge and I created a layout based on the middle column which is stitching, chipboard and paint.  The outside edge of the black cardstock is machine stitched, the letters for the title are chipboard and I painted them with acrylic paint and also did the paint splats.  There is also a star background that I cut out of vellum with my Silhouette Cameo and used some of the stars to place around the layout.  Finally I added some enamel dots to the center of the vellum stars for more interest.

Adhesive - (Scotch, 3L Adhesive)
Cardstock - DCWV
Chipboard Letters - Maya Road
Enamel Dots - My Mind's Eye
Flair Button - The Paper Bakery
Labels -Dymo LetraTag
Paints - AdirondackAcrylic Paint Dabbers (Red Pepper, Pool, Sunshine Yellow)
Patterned Papers and Diecut Stickers - My Mind's Eye (Boy Crazy)
Vellum - Recollections

I hope you enjoyed my layout and are inspired to create.  Thank you SWAT for this lovely opportunity.   Come play along and link up to the challenge here.

Have a great day!

Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #342

Hello scrappy friends! I hope you all had a great weekend full of scrapbooking of course.  Today there is a new sketch revealed at Scrapbook Challenges and I always enjoy creating from these sketches and Chanell Rigterink always does a fabulous job with making them look so nice.

Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #342

I wanted to do a playful layout of my daughter and her silly faces.  She cracks me up all the time!

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the pie charts, the title and the vellum clouds and then used my sewing machine and stitched the title and clouds to keep them in place.  The patterned papers are from the Echo Park Sweet Girl Collection, the flair button is from The Paper Bakery and the washi tape is from Doodlebug Designs .

I hope you enjoyed my take on the sketch and would love to see what you do with the sketch.  Come play along with us at Scrapbook Challenges and upload your creation to our gallery.

Have a great day!
