Now Playing Layout

Today I am on the A Flair For Buttons blog sharing a layout of some of the movies my hubby and I have gone to see at the local theater for some of our date nights.

I used three flair buttons from the At The Movies flair set for this layout.

For my papers, I used some older Bella Blvd. patterned papers and stickers from the Scattered Sprinkles Collection and also machine stitched the paper strips in place instead of adding adhesive to the back of the strips to keep the strips in place.  The layout was inspired by a sketch from Laura Whitaker.

I arranged the flair buttons in clusters with some stars that I punched out with a star paper punch.

I arranged my 2X2 photos in a group.

I also added some splatters of black ink and some red thread for more texture and interest.

Here are the lovely flair buttons.  Aren't they perfect?

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the amazing flair buttons in the A Flair For Buttons shop.  There are always new flair being added.

Stuck?! Sketches July 1 Sketch And Reveal

Happy Tuesday!  Wow! It's already July and it's also Canada Day.  So proud of my country and feel so blessed to live in a beautiful, free country.

Today at Stuck?! Sketches we have the new sketch for July 1 and also the design team reveals their interpretation of the sketch.  Triangles are on trend at the moment and I gave my Silhouette Cameo a workout.  Here is what I came up with.

This was on summer vacation two years ago when my husband, son and I travelled to Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.  It is one of the most beautiful places I have been to.  The flowers are beautiful, the weather is mild and the ocean views are spectacular.  Here are some more closeups.

Here is the July 1 Sketch that Laura Whitaker designed

I hope you are inspired to play along and link up your creation here at Stuck?! Sketches for a chance to win a prize.  While your there, check out all the design team's amazing creations with this sketch.

Thanks for stopping by and I really hope you have a wonderful day!

Stuck?! Sketches June 15 Sketch And Reveal And June Mood Board At Scrap Around The World

Hello friends!  Today is the Stuck?! Sketches reveal and sketch for June 15.  Once again, Laura Whitaker designed this awesome sketch...

and I was also inspired by the colours, bicycle and flowers of the  June Mood Board over at Scrap Around The World so I played along with their  June Mood Board designed by Di Garling.

I chose some photos of some flowers that I photographed two summers ago while vacationing at my brother's home.  He has the most amazing backyard.

This layout has lots of different mediums on it.  It was great messy play!  I love creating a mixed media layout occasionally.

Thanks for stopping by and I encourage you to play along with Stuck?! Sketches and Scrap Around The World for some great prizes.  Happy scrapping!

First Dance - Kreaxions Punch #311 and Kreaxions Circle Cutter

Happy Sunday!  Today I wanted to share a layout of my daughter and son in law on their wedding day.   I created this layout with the help of the  Kreaxions Punch #311 (no insert) for the fancy punched border to give the layout more of an elegant touch and also the Kreaxions Circle Cutter.  I also used lots of Bella Blvd. papers from the Love And Marriage Collection as well as Bella Blvd. Pink and White Crochet Hearts and a Bella Blvd. Feather.
