Hello friends! Today I am sharing another layout that I created with the June Sketch at My Creative Sketches.

This was created with the awesome June Creative Kit for My Creative Scrapbook.

I thought I would share a written tutorial with full instructions on how I created this layout. Flamingos are trendy for summer and last year, I got my nails and toes done with painted flamingos at my local nail salon. Summer is to be celebrated. Don't you think?

Fun In The Sun

Happy Saturday! Today I thought I would share another layout that I created with the June Creative Kit at My Creative Scrapbook.

I always thought grid layouts were a great way to add lots of embellishments and use up scraps of paper. That is what I wanted to achieve with this layout. Sometimes I like to add a black cardstock background to make the colors pop.

Each square block of paper can be embellished like a tiny layout. I like to cluster my stickers and diecuts and add some sequins for extra sparkle. The patterned papers and embellishments are from Pebbles new Sunshiny Days Collection.

Check out the June Creative Kit. It's so fun!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

Cool By The Pool

Hello friends! Today I wanted to share another layout that I created for My Creative Scrapbook with the fabulous June Creative Kit.

For this layout,  I was inspired by a layout created by Paige Evans using lots and lots of paper strips. It's a great way to use up paper scraps from the kit.

To give the layout more interest, I machine stitched the paper strips down instead of gluing them.  I also machine stitched around the beach ball die cut to give it more definition.

I added two 2X3 photos and added some fussy cut flowers, clustered some of the ephemera from the kit and yellow ribbon that I tied in bows.

The sequins from the kit gives the layout more sparkle and interest.

Finally I added the location and date with a fine line black pen on one of the paper strips.

The paper strips look like sun rays don't you think?

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day.

Hawaii Makes Me Happy

Hello friends! Today I thought I would share a third layout that I created a somewhat mixed media layout with the June Creative Kit at My Creative Scrapbook.  I went on a scrapbooking/photography cruise with 80 lovely ladies from mostly Canada and the U.S.A. to Hawaii back in 2012. We travelled to Oahu, Maui, Kahai and the Big Island of Hawaii.

I used the packaging technique for my background with watercolors that coordinated with the beautiful patterned papers from the Pebbles Sunshiny Days Collection. I love all the papers, ephemera, and stickers from this collection.

I fussy cut several flowers from the floral paper and placed them around the circular design.  I also machine stitched to adhere the chipboard title to the layout with yellow thread.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure and check out all the beautiful kits at My Creative Scrapbook. Have an awesome day!

Lemonade Layout

Hello friends! Are you ready for summer? I know when I created this layout for My Creative Scrapbook with the June Creative Kit, that I had summer on the brain. Of course lemonade is something that came to mind when I saw this lemon patterned paper.

The papers, stickers, chipboard stickers and ephemera are from the new Pebbles Sunshiny Days Collection. There was a lot of fussy cutting for this layout but I actually sat on the deck with a cold drink and cut away. I find it so relaxing.

Here are some more closeups of my layout.

I wanted to stay with the yellow color for this layout. I also added some machine stitching to tack down the chipboard title and also the fussy cut lemon wedges and around the outside edge of the layout with some yellow thread. Sometimes it's fun to stitch with different colors of thread as I tend to use white thread for most of my layouts.

Be sure and check out all the June kits at My Creative Scrapbook. Have an awesome day!

The June Kits Full Reveal At My Creative Scrapbook

Hello friends! It's that special day today where the June kits are all revealed at My Creative Scrapbook. As I look through the design team gallery, I am fascinated by all the eye candy. I think it is amazing how many designers are given the same kit to work their magic and they are all so different from each other. I love all the styles that each of the designers have. Here are the four kits for June:

My Creative Scrapbook June 2017 Main Kit
My Creative Scrapbook June 2017 Creative Kit

My Creative Scrapbook June 2017 LE Kit

My Creative Scrapbook June 2017 Album Kit
Aren't they fabulous? I worked with the June Creative Kit which consists of mostly the Pebbles Sunshiny Days Collection of patterned papers, cardstock stickers, ephemera, and chipboard stickers. I am in love with the bright colors that scream tropical paradise. The flamingos and pineapples have my heart.

Here is one of the layouts I created. To make the colors pop, I thought that adding a black card stock background would work. This is a layout of my youngest son and husband having a jumping contest on the beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

For this layout, I used the word cut files, that are included with the purchase of the kit, to cut out the title on my Silhouette Cameo. To give it more of a playful, fun look, I opted to scrap it on a diagonal slant.

With many of my layouts, I like to add some stitching and this layout is no exception. For this layout, I added some machine stitching to adhere the title. Pink can work for masculine layouts in this case because of the other coordinating colors such as the aqua and yellow. It has the tropical feel to it with the flowers, pineapples and flamingos.

Sequins were included in this kit and I loved the sparkle they add to the layout. There are a generous amount of diecuts and stickers in the kit.

If you made it to the end of this post, congratulations! Be sure and check out the My Creative Scrapbook design team gallery to see all the design team's beautiful creations and reserve your kits today here.

Be sure and check back this week for more of my layouts.  Have a lovely day!
