May Sneak Peeks

Hello friends! The May sneak peeks are up at My Creative Scrapbook and they are awesome!

I created some projects with the May Creative Kit and wanted to share one of my layouts with this adorable kit that includes some papers and embellishments from Echo Park's Hello Spring and Hello Easter Collections, twine, white pom pom ribbon, white foam alphabet stickers and banner pieces from American Crafts and flower stickers from Pebbles Inc.

I took out my circle paper punches and one of my scalloped circle paper punches and punched paper circles in several colors and stacked them. I added some chipboard stickers on top and arranged the stacked paper punched circles on the white background cardstock. 

I had fun with the white pom pom ribbon and cut it apart and glued five pom poms on the sheep chipboard sticker to give it a woolly look.

I also added a white pom pom on the tail of the chipboard bunny.

For the title of the layout "Easter Fun", I added the two border stickers to the bottom of the page and  added the white foam alphabet stickers that I added various colors of Nuvo Crystal Drops in several coordinating colors to give the title some interest and dimension and then added some more chipboard stickers.

Finally I stitched around the edge of the white cardstock with white thread and my sewing machine.

So Lucky

Hello! Happy Sunday! Today I wanted to share another layout that I created with the September Creative Kit at My Creative Scrapbook. 

This layout is of my dog Syd when he was a puppy last Fall. He loved going for walks in the forest and it was hilarious to watch him run after the falling leaves and try to catch them in his mouth. 

I love the woodgrain background paper so I chose it for the background. The papers, stickers and ephemera are from the A Perfect Autumn Collection by Echo Park Paper. For the title, I used the Amy Tangerine woodgrain chipboard alpha stickers from the kit and the word "lucky" from the Heidi Swapp Gold Acetate Words.

I matted my photo on brown patterned paper and added a little phrase sticker. The journaling cards in the kit's ephemera pack were added to the right side of the photo and I popped a little squirrel up on some pop dots. 

I wanted to create a fun, whimsical layout. I knew I wanted to use some of the ephemera and stickers of the bear and owl in this kit.  

I added my journaling to the journaling card and added the jar sticker, a tiny journaling tag and the twine that I tied in a double bow and added a sticker to the center of the bow.

Hanna Layout

Happy Saturday! Hope you are having a good weekend so far. I thought I would share another layout on my blog from the March Creative Kit at My Creative Scrapbook.  This little girl's nickname is "Hanna Bee" so when I saw those cute little bee diecuts, I knew I was going to create a page of her.

Grid layouts are one of my favorites.  They are classic and I love adding lots of little embellishments to each square.  It also gives a person the option to add as many photos to the layout as they like.

My Creative Scrapbook March Kit Reveals

Hello friends! Happy Saturday! The fifth day of each month is always an exciting day at My Creative Scrapbook.  This is the day that all the monthly kits are revealed and the designers showcase their projects with the kits.

I was privileged to be asked to create with the March Main kit, which includes lots of the new My Mind's Eye Hello Gorgeous collection.

and also the March Creative kit, which includes the Pebbles Spring Fling Collection for this reveal.

I love the beautiful, soft color palettes of these two kits and knew that I wanted to create lots of girly layouts with them.  In the next week or so, I will be sharing a layout every few days. Here is the layout for today of my daughter and I with the March Main kit:

I love the fabric brads, the chipboard and the pretty papers.

There is also the March LE kit which is perfect for the scrapbooker that prefers the shabby chic style of scrapbooking.  Aren't the flowers and papers gorgeous?
