Practical Scrappers October Blog Hop

Happy Halloween! You should have arrived here from Cheryl's blog but if not, just follow the blog hop list below.

Lee-Anne http://lee-annelovethejourney.blogspot.com/  YOU ARE HERE :)

Today at Practical Scrappers we are having a Halloween Blog Hop and the only requirement is to make a project with some of our stash.  I dug through all my Halloween papers and decided to make some art for my wall to put up in my front hall.  I used the Oct. 31 Collection by Fancy Pants Designs.  It's been a while since I have created with rub ons and overlays.  This is what I came up with.

For the haunted house, I used a cut file designed by Samantha Walker in the Silhouette Online Store.  I cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo and then backed the windows, doors and porch with some different papers and then added a sticker and some rub ons and overlays.  I used a shadow box frame that I had to frame the project.

You have reached the end of the blog hop.  I hope you are inspired by all of the creations today on the hop. I know I am. Thanks for stopping by and have a safe and happy Halloween!

Scrap Our Stash September 1 Challenge

Hello friends!  Happy Friday!

Today I am sharing my layout for Scrap Our Stash's September 1 Challenge.  The theme is travel and the challenge is to use at least one travel embellishment (eg. plane, bus, car, boat, train, bike) as well as one travel sign.  Here is what I came up with:

"Traveling Dude"
Adhesive - Beacon, Scotch
Alphabet Stickers - American Crafts, Simple Stories
Brad - October Afternoon
Diecuts - Silhouette America
Enamel Dots - Teresa Collins
Flair Buttons - Evalicious, Paper Bakery
Mist - Heidi Swapp
Modeling Paste - Liquitex
Patterned Papers - Simple Stories (Say Cheese Collection)
Pen - Marvy Uchida
Revolving Phrase Stamp - American Crafts
Stencil - Crafter's Workshop
Twine - Unknown
Vellum - Recollections
Wood Embellishments - Studio Calico
I used some modeling paste and a swiss dot stencil on the background paper as well as some mist splatters for texture.  I also diecut some overlays and diecuts with my Cameo as well as added some wood embellishments, flair buttons and enamel dots for added interest.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to link up your creations for this challenge at Scrap Our Stash.  You have until the end of September to link up to be eligible for an awesome prize of Bo Bunny's Detour Collection.  Have a great day!
