Some Exciting News!

Hello friends! It's been so long since I have posted here on my blog. I wanted to share some happy news today. I have a layout included in the Fall 2018 issue of Scrapbook And Cards Today Magazine!

Here is the layout that I created.

I'm all about using up paper collections and cut paper strips from the Echo Park Paper A Perfect Autumn Collection. I love the teal mixed in with the typical autumn colored papers. To complete the layout, I added some machine stitching with the teal twine and my We R Memory Keepers Stitch Happy Sewing Machine.

It is another fabulous issue and I am excited to be included in Scrapbook And Cards Today's 51st issue.  There are so many amazing layouts from many scrapbookers. The magazine can be purchased at many scrapbook stores in Canada and the U.S.A. and it can be downloaded for FREE here.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,

Guest Designer At Scrapbook And Cards Today Magazine

Hello friends! Today I am very honored to be a guest designer on the Scrapbook And Cards Today Magazine Blog using the November Freebie Digital Cut File designed by the amazingly talented Nicole Nowosad.

I decided to create a Halloween layout of my friend's two little cuties.

To explain my design process, I cut the cut file on a 12 X 12 piece of black card stock with my Silhouette Cameo, turned it over onto the backside and backed the design with some patterned papers from the Crate Paper After Dark Collection.  Then, I adhered it to a white 12X12 card stock background that I first watercolored with some Tim Holtz Dried Marigold Distress Ink.  To embellish the layout, I glued some adorable bat sequins, orange sequins and star sequins that are also from the After Dark Collection, and placed them randomly around the page.  To complete the layout, I splattered with some Liquitex Black India Ink, let it dry and then added three  flair buttons from A Flair For Buttons.  To make the flair buttons pop and to give them more interest and texture, I wrapped the flair buttons with orange sewing thread.

Here are more layout closeups:

Anchors Away Layout In Scrapbook & Cards Today Summer 2015 Magazine!

Hello friends!  Happy Friday! It's a good day here today. My son has finished his last final exam for grade ten so school is officially out for summer! I remember that wonderful feeling well.

Today I wanted to share my layout that was published in the Summer 2015 issue of Scrapbook And Cards Today Magazine.

On my birthday three years ago, my husband gave me a wonderful gift…a cruise of the Hawaiian Islands on the Norwegian Cruise Lines Pride Of America.  This wasn't just any cruise, it was Crop And Cruise 2012, a scrapbooking and photography cruise with at least 80 Canadian women and American women and did we have lots of laughs and fun let me tell you.  I have never been on a cruise before and never been to Hawaii so it was amazing!  We docked in several ports and saw Maui, Kauai, The Big Island Of Hawaii,  and Oahu (Honolulu).

My layout was created with the Ahoy There Collection of papers and stickers, the die cut title and nautical wheel were cut with my Sihouette Cameo from designs that are available in the Silhouette Online Store.  The background stamp and and flair buttons are from Creative Embellishments.

I can't tell you how honored I am to be published in this magazine among such talented designers.  It really is a dream come true for me.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog.  Be sure and check out the new summer issue of Scrapbook And Cards Today here.  My layout is on page 64.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great weekend and don't forget to make time for something you love!
