Horsing Around

Hello friends! Today I am sharing a layout over at Paper House Productions of my dear niece Laine who loves her two horses Cameo and Willow.  She is becoming quite the cowgirl and competes in barrel racing and is also a member of the 4H Club.

I added some machine stitching to the outside edge of the background horse paper and added several 3D Sticker embellishment clusters in a triangle to draw the eye around the entire page.

I matted the photo with several pieces of paper from Paper House Productions and added the "Horsing Around" 3D Sticker below the photo for the title of my page and added a the white horse 3D sticker to the left of the title and the brown horse 3D sticker to the right of the title.

I added the Horseshoe, I Love Horses and Square Horse 3D Stickers in a cluster.  I then added some heart and star puffy stickers and some twine to the three corner embellishment clusters for texture.

I am happy how this layout turned out and it's another page to add to my nieces album.  I hope I have inspired you to create a layout with lots of dimension using 3D stickers from Paper House Productions.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

We Are Family Too

Hello friends! Happy Friday! Today I am sharing a layout at Just Nick Digital Cut Files using the Scribble Circle Background.  I love this fun background and decided to create a layout of my niece's horses.

I cut the background on my Silhouette Cameo on some woodgrain patterned paper and adhered it to the gingham yellow paper that is backed onto white card stock paper.

I machine stitched in brown thread over the center of the die cut circles going lengthwise and crosswise.  Then I added all my chipboard embellishments and matted the photo with several layers of patterned paper.

I added the title using some chipboard letters and stickers and added some cute wood veneer horse shapes that I had in my stash that would be perfect on this layout.  I wanted to give the layout a rustic, country feel.

Finally, I added some some distress ink splats in Gathered Twigs being sure to cover up the patterned paper so that it would only show up on the white card stock.

Here is a photo of the Scribble Circle Background.

All the patterned papers, stickers and chipboard embellishments are from the Pumpkin Spice and We Are Family Collections by Simple Stories.

This cut file and many, many more are available for purchase and instant download at Just Nick Digital Cut Files.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you are inspired to use cut files in different ways.  Have a great day!

April 15 Sketch At Stuck?! Sketches

Hello friends!  Happy Tuesday!  Today there is another sketch and design team reveal at Stuck?! Sketches and I created a layout on my niece who is an avid horse lover and enjoys English and Western riding as well as barrel racing and jumping.  My brother, who passed away when she was two, would have been proud of his daughter.  She really looks like him when he was a child and they both share the daredevil and fearless personality. Hahaha.

For this layout I used the Giddy Up Girl Collection from Carta Bella, which is perfect for any girl that loves horses.  I cut the accordion flower with my Silhouette Cameo and also a border and then laced it with some ribbon as well as used a texture stamp and some wood stars for interest.

Here is the sketch that is designed by owner and designer Laura Whitaker.  She really has a talent for designing amazing sketches.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are inspired to create with this sketch and link up for a chance at an amazing prize.  All the details and the entire design team reveal is here.

Have a creative day!
