Relax And Unwind Envelope Mini Album

Hello friends! Happy Sunday!

I love camping, nature and the outdoors and all of my three grown children love it too so when I saw the beautiful collections from Paper House Productions, I knew that I wanted to create some mini albums for my daughter to add some photos of their camping trips. This album was created with 8X8 inch white envelopes that I created from scratch. It makes a great foundation for the pages.

I added brown 110 pound card stock to the base and also photo mats that I tucked into pockets of the pages and added patterned papers and stickers from Paper House Productions The Great Outdoors Camping, Hunting, and Fishing Collections. I love these collections and the 3-D stickers just finish off the album nicely with a little pizzazz and dimension.

Mini albums are a great way to use paper collections and stickers and to add lots of photos. Paper House Productions fits the bill.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

Some Exciting News!

Hello friends! It's been a while since I've posted on my scrapbooking blog, but wanted to share some exciting news. I have been asked to join the Paper House Productions Summer/Fall 2018 Design Team!

Looking forward to working alongside these awesome ladies. I was on the team in 2016 and am very excited to be asked back. Looking forward to broadening my horizons and creating an assortment of projects such as planners, traveller's notebooks, home decor, crafts, mini albums, cards and of course layouts.

The term begins in July and goes until the end of December 2018. I hope you will check back and see some projects that I will be creating for Paper House Productions.

Have a wonderful day and happy creating!

My Layouts Published in Fall 2017 Creative Scrapbooker Magazine

Hello friends! It's been a while since I have posted. Life has been busy and with so many big stressors in my life right now, I have had to focus more on family and priorities. I miss scrapbooking as much as I have done in the past. It truly is so therapeutic.

Every so often really good things come along and at the present, they are welcomed more than ever. I have two layouts published in the Fall 2017 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine that should be on newsstands September 1.

The first layout on page 126 is of my puppy Syd and all the hikes we have done with him. This was originally for design team work when I was on the Paper House Productions design team last term.

The second layout, Pumpkin Pie on page 117 was created last Fall for design team work at My Creative Scrapbook using the 2016 November Creative Kit. If you know me, you know that I love to bake and so I thought I would create a layout of Pumpkin Pie for Thanksgiving.

It is always a thrill to be published and I have been very honored to be published in Creative Scrapbooker Magazine many times since the Spring 2013 issue.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope you have an awesome day!

Love You

Hello friends! Today I am sharing a baby layout of my youngest son on the Just Nick blog.

Since February is the month of love, I wanted to use some love themed cut files so I used the Love You cut file and also the Lace Heart cut file from Just Nick Digital Cut Files.

I love the softness of vellum on a layout and I also love to use sequins so I combined both and added some vellum and sequins to some of the circles.  I also added some flair buttons from A Flair For Buttons and enamel dots from Bella Blvd.

Owls are some of my favorite so I thought these puffy stickers from Paper House Productions would add some cuteness and fun to the layout.

I cut the title "Love You" on some black heart patterned paper.  I also backed some of the circles from colored patterned paper from Echo Park.

Stitching adds more texture so I added some machine stitching.  Finally I journaled on some vellum using my Typecast typewriter.

Creating a baby layout brings back so many good memories.  My son is now 17 and will be graduating from high school this year.

I hope you enjoyed your visit.  Have a great day!

Santa And Reindeer Frame

Hello friends! It's December and I love to create home decor items for Christmas and the holidays. The Santa And Reindeer Frame is perfect to hang in the home to celebrate the holidays.

Santa And Reindeer Frame Supply List

  • Santa 3D Shimmers

  • Reindeer Puffy Sticker

  • Snowflake Acetate Paper

  • Merry & Bright Sculpted Sticker

  • Reindeer Double Sided 12" Scrapbook Paper

  • For the background, I inked a 12 inch by 12 inch piece of white card stock with Ranger Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.  With the Reindeer Double Sided Paper, I machine stitched it to the white card stock background.  On top of the Reindeer Double Sided 12" Scrapbook Paper,  I added the Snowflake Acetate Paper and machine stitched around the edges instead of using adhesive because with acetate paper being transparent,  I had to strategically adhere it without having the adhesive show. Stitching is the way to go.

I also fussy cut some snowflakes from the Snowflake Acetate Paper and added them over the acetate background to give more dimension.  Sequins make everything sparkle more so I added some silver sequins with a dab of liquid adhesive to some of the centers of the snowflakes.

I love the Reindeer Puffy Stickers and thought I would add two of them to add more dimension to the layout.  I also added some more stickers from the Merry & Bright Sculpted Stickers and created the "Merry & Bright" title .

To complete the frame, I added the layout to a black 12X12 scrapbook frame from Michael's that I removed the glass from because the acetate is already shiny.  It is difficult to photograph this frame as it has a glare, but  I was happy how this turned out and I thought it would look great in the front foyer of my home.

I hope you enjoyed my Santa And Reindeer Frame.  Have a great day!

    Peace Acetate Card

Hello friends! Just thought I would share an acetate card that I created for one of my  Christmas cards that I am mailing out this year.

I recently played with some acetate and I love this Snowflake Acetate that I received in my design team package from Paper House Productions.

Acetate is somewhat of a challenge to paper craft with.  I usually like to make little gift boxes on my Silhouette Cameo with it as it cuts beautifully on the Cameo, but I have also seen cards in the stores that have acetate.  Because it is clear, whatever you place on the card has to be thought out carefully because the backside shows through.  That is why when it is used in creating a card, I had to add paper to the backside.  I also used some Christmas and winter patterned papers from Paper House Productions for the tag and the inside and outside of the card.

Here is a peek at the sentiment.  It is actually a sticker that I glued to some paper and fussy cut around the edge.

Acetate is also a challenge to photograph.  I personally feel that photos don't do the card justice.

Well I hope you enjoyed my card.  Now I am off to mail it.

    Have a great day!

Where The Wild Things Are Pocket Mini Album

Hello friends! Once in a while I like to try new things in this crazy fun scrapbooking world so today I thought I would share a pocket mini album that I created for design team work at Paper House Productions.  I used this cut file in the Silhouette Online store that was created by Lori Whitlock. I cut out the mini album on Silhouette Chipboard with my Silhouette Cameo and once it was assembled, I added the beautiful papers and stickers from Paper House Productions Where The Wild Things Are Papercrafting kit.

I had so much fun creating this album.  A friend of mine has the cutest boy and girl and when I saw the Where The Wild Things Are Paper Crafting Kit from Paper House Productions, I knew I wanted to document their Halloween from this year and last year.

I have a little video that I created to show the completed album.

Thanks for visiting my blog.  I hope you enjoyed my video and check out the Paper House Productions shop and blog.
