Happy Halloween Eeeeeek!

Hello friends! Today I am sharing this Halloween layout today at Just Nick Digital Cut Files.

This layout was totally fun to create! I used the Web Background 1 cut file and the Build A Jack cut file and the new Bella Blvd. Spooktacular Collection kit papers, washi tape and paper pieces.

For the web background, I cut it out on black cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo. I love the texture and interest it gives this layout.

The paper pieces are so cute to this collection.  One can never have too many embellishments, especially Halloween embellishments.

To create the fun pumpkins at the bottom of my layout, I sized 3 pumpkins in different sizes in Silhouette Studio adding the cute eyes, noses and mouths,  and then cut them out on my Silhouette Cameo.  To make them pop more, I backed each of the pumpkins with black cardstock.

I am in love with the new washi tape that Bella Blvd. has come out with in their new collections.  I added two strips to the top of the layout and two to the bottom of the layout and then machine stitched in white thread around the edge of the layout. There is a lot of dimension to this layout as you can see in the photo below.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed your visit.  Be sure and check out the Just Nick Digital Cut Files shop for tons more cut files including these two that I have used today.  Happy creating!

Cool Dude Layout

Hello friends! Happy Wednesday! Today I am on the Just Nick Digital Cut Files Blog with another layout using Just Nick Cut Files.  For this week the challenge is to use three or more cut files on a project.  I used 4 different sets of cut files for this boy layout of my son.
Using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut the Brick Circle on white card stock and backed it with a piece of patterned paper.  For the dimension, I added small foam squares that I cut in half and adhered to the backside of the card stock.  I love the shadows and dimension it gives the background. These papers are from the October Afternoon Treasure Map Collection.  I also used some flair buttons from A Flair For Buttons.
I cut the title "Cool Dude" from the All Boy Cut Files as well as the star inside the circle cut file from the All Boy Cut Files and added them to the layout.
The words "remember today" were cut from the Word Brushstrokes Cut File and added to the top left hand corner of the layout over the white card stock so it was legible.
Finally I added the "awesome" word tab from the Word Tab Cut Files and the "smile" .
I hope you enjoyed my layout and are inspired to use these awesome cut files designed by Nicole Nowosad.  All these and many more cuts files are in the Just Nick Digital Cut Files Store here.

My First Layout And My Intro For Just Nick Digital Cut Files!

Hello friends! I am very excited to share my first layout as a design team member at Just Nick Digital Cut Files. As you probably know, I have a love affair with my Silhouette Cameo and love using digital cut files on my projects.

For my layout,  I broke out my Star Student Collection from Bella Blvd. Don't you just love the chemistry paper and the test paper? I thought it was perfect for high school students.  My son was not thrilled about his first day of grade ten.  He really had the jitters but after the first day he said he thought it was better than junior high so I was very happy to hear that.

I used the Geometric Background Digital Cut File for my layout and cut it out of white cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo and then backed it with lots of colorful papers.  Here are a few closeups:

My design team introduction is on the Just Nick Blog today.  Be sure and check out the Just Nick Store for this cut file as well as many more.  Thanks for stopping by!

Remember Today Layout

Hello friends! Today I have a second blog post and when I'm on a roll, I'm on a roll, so everything has to wait and I go and create.  For this layout, I used a free digital cut file from Paper Issues and cut it with my Cameo and added lots of papers from Bella Blvd.'s Lucky Starz Collection as well as Bella Blvd.'s Tiny Tots Collection.

I loved this cut file and immediately knew that I wanted to scrapbook a school themed page.  This little guy began preschool last September and he was so excited.

I backed the card stock background paper with lots and lots of paper scraps trying to use some bright and some muted papers to balance the layout.  After that I hand cut the photo and popped it up with some pop dots as well as some stickers.  The title was fussy cut and then I dabbed some mist and embellished with stickers, a button and a crochet heart for good measure.

Thanks for stopping by again! Have a wonderful day!

January Scrapping Our Stash Blog Hop

Hello friends! It's Lee-Anne here and I am so glad you are here and hope you are enjoying the hop so far! You should have arrived here from Suzanna's blog but if not you can go back to the beginning here.

Today I wanted to share my layout that I created for the hop from lots of goodies in my stash. I really love the gold trend at the moment and wanted to put some old goodies with some new goodies. Here is my layout.

Sibling Love Is Golden - by Lee-Anne Thornton (Photo courtesy of Rockwood Photography)

For this layout I cut out the  Lucky In Love digital cut file on some 12X12 white cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo and backed it with another piece of white cardstock . I love the Lucky In Love 12X12  background digital cut file that my friend Ashley Horton has designed for The Cut Shoppe.  I was honored to be on her design team for the first term.

For the gold painted hearts, I applied some Heidi Swapp Colorshine in gold with a water paintbrush and painted the hearts and some of the love words and then splattered some randomly.

I then brushed some Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink in gold and outlined the hearts and painted the Prima wood veneer key and wood veneer "love" word.

I added some vellum paper from We R Memory Keepers that have these cute gold hearts on them, a gold doily from SRM Stickers and some white doilies from Bo Bunny.

American Crafts have these cute gold buttons that I have had in my stash for at least five years so now was the time to use them.

I painted some Karen Foster Designs twine with the Smooch gold paint and threaded the gold buttons and added some gold round and star sequins.

Finally, I finished the layout with some flair from A Flair For Buttons that I bought a few months ago and some alpha Thickers from American Crafts.  Here are some more closeups of this cute brother and sister who are my photographer friend's little ones.  Isn't it cute how the little girl looks up at her big brother? She simply adores him.

Valentine's is coming up and sometimes I like to put a different spin on the traditional Valentine's colors of red, pink and white so I went with the color gold for this layout.  I hope you have enjoyed your visit to my blog.  I would love if you would become a follower of my blog.

Next up is the talented Bobbi  Have a wonderful day!

My Layout Was Featured At Fancy Pants Designs!

Hello friends! Happy Thursday! Just wanted to share some super duper happy news today. My layout was featured on the Fancy Pants Designs Blog today for my layout "Welcome To My Everyday Circus". How cool is that?

Welcome To My Everyday Circus
Every month Fancy Pants Designs has a new sketch to play with.  For this layout I used the Everyday Circus Collection of patterned papers, stickers, buttons and sequins as well as some digital cut files from The Cut Shoppe.  The photos are of my family the day after my daughter's wedding day.  We all were gathered in the lobby of the hotel to say our goodbyes and take some photos before many of us travelled back to our homes.  Congratulations to the winner and all the ladies that were featured!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

I Love My Cat Layout

Hello friends! Today I am sharing a layout for The Cut Shoppe of my handsome cat Sheldon. He deserves a page of his own as he came to our family as a rescue cat and was in pretty bad shape.  We nursed him back to health and he has been such a sweetheart and such a wonderful addition to our family.

I used the That Darn Cat cut file from The Cut Shoppe for the title and the cat shapes.

I also added a border stamp around the edge of the white card stock background.  I wanted to give it a chalkboard effect so I outlined the black card stock die cuts with a white gel pen, splattered some mist and added a piece of twine to the cute little metal fish embellishment as well as some buttons.  All the papers and embellishments are from the Bo Bunny Happy Tails Collection.

To finish off the layout, I added some flair from A Flair For Buttons and some cat wood veneers from Studio Calico.

I hope you enjoyed my layout.  Thanks for stopping by!
