The November Issue of Scrapbook Generation's CREATE Magazine

Hello friends! Happy Tuesday! I just got back from a four day retreat and it was lovely.  While I was gone, a new issue of Scrapbook Generation's CREATE Magazine has arrived.

I really love all the inspiration and ideas for scrapbookers and cardmakers in this magazine.  I have a layout on page 191 using lots of the Pumpkin Spice Collection by Simple Stories and flair buttons by A Flair For Buttons.

Be sure to download your copy of the November issue.  You can find it here.

Some More Layouts Published!

Happy Friday! It's been quite the stressful week so I am happy it's the weekend.

Today I am excited to share that I have three layouts published in three magazines this month.  I am feeling very blessed.

Scrapbooking for me began as my therapy for healing from my past and I never felt that it would end up being so rewarding for me!  I suppose other people see things that I don't see and encouraged me to take my hobby further.  Four years ago it all began with Anam Stubbington asking me if I would be interested in joining the Twisted Sketches Design Team.  I have always admired Anam's talent and was totally blown away with her asking me.

It began from there and I can't believe the journey that my passion has taken me on.  Whenever I sit down in my scrap room, I feel so calm and when I am in the creative zone it is like meditation.

Thank you for sharing in this journey with me.

Today I am excited to share that the Fall 2015 Scrapbook And Cards Today Magazine is available for download free!  It is also a printed publication that can purchased by a subscription or in many scrapbooking stores.

I have this layout of my youngest son on his first day of high school on Page 70.

Here is the link to download this issue:

Also, the September Bella Buzz is available for download.  This is a e-zine that Bella Blvd. publishes several times a year that is free.  There is lots of inspiration on using your Bella Blvd. products.

I have a layout of my daughter and son in law on Page 5

Here is the link to download this issue:

The September 2015 issue of CREATE Magazine by Scrapbook Generation is also available for download for free.  This is chockfull of awesome sketches and it's huge.

I have a layout of my youngest son on Page 195 of this issue:

Hmmm….I have noticed that all these are created with Bella Blvd. Yes I really love Bella Blvd.  I love that all their collections can be mixed together.

Thanks for sharing your day with me.  I hope you are inspired to do something you love and have an amazing weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Layout Published In The Fancy Pants October 2014 Newsletter!

Hello scrappy friends! Today I wanted to share some exciting news.  One of my layouts made it's way into the Fancy Pants October 2014 Newsletter! My layout can be found on Page 22.

Here is my layout of my youngest on his last day of fifth grade.

It's no secret that Fancy Pants is one of my favorite scrapbook paper companies and I'm pretty sure that I have every collection since their inception.  The layout above was created with the Fancy Pants Designs True Friend Collection and I also used the 12X12 Spin Cycle Cut File from The Cut Shoppe to create the background along with some flair from A Flair For Buttons.

I spot a few ladies that I know in the newsletter too.  You can view the online newsletter here:

Very Humbled!

Hello friends!  Happy Friday!  Today I wanted to share some happy news and I am extremely honoured to be published in Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine once again.  I have a layout on page 123 of the 2014 Fall Issue.

I received a copy in my mailbox today and have already read the entire issue.  There are so many ladies that I know that have been published as well.  For my layout, I created a mixed media layout and used drywall tape for texture on my layout.  I took the photos of this adorable deer eating outside my parent's kitchen window.  This little girl was so sweet and so tame that my dad actually hand fed it. It looks like it was smiling in the top photo. Hahaha.

Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine is published in print four times a year and the gals from Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine are a fun, talented bunch.  They are always looking for new submissions from Canadians and if you would like to subscribe to this amazing magazine, then click here and sign up.  It doesn't matter where you live.  They mail it anywhere in the world or there is also an app for your mobile device.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy your day!

My First Publication In Scrapbook Generation's Create Magazine!

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Today I am very honoured and excited to share that I have a layout published in Create Magazine!  This is a new free monthly digital paper crafting magazine that began publishing in January 2014.  My layout in the June 2014 issue is on page 212.  Check out this jam packed magazine that focuses on sketches but has so much more.  It's their biggest issue yet.  Check it all out here.

I love everything about Fancy Pants Designs and this layout was created from the As You Wish Collection.  I cut out the title on the gold foil paper with my Silhouette Cameo and also the gold tag behind the photo and the little gold hearts.  The flowers are fussy cut and I also cut strips of patterned paper from the collection and added some sewing mating stitching to the strips.  The photos were created with Turbo Collage, which is photo collage software, and the coloured text was added with the software as well.  This is the first layout that I have published in this particular magazine.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.  I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Published In The Summer 2014 Issue Of Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine!

If you are looking for the Practical Scrappers May Blog Hop, please go here.

Happy Saturday friends!  Today I wanted to share some happy news.  I have a layout that is published in Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine's Summer 2014 issue! This issue should be in Canadian news stands June 1.

There is something about being published in a printed magazine that is special.  This magazine always is full of lots of inspiration and it doesn't matter where you live, you can subscribe to it.  Here is the link to subscribe.

I also noticed that many of my scrappy friends are published in this issue too.  I love the online world of scrapbooking!  Although I have not met a lot of my online scrappy friends in person, it's like I already know them as we share our lives and creations on a day to day basis and there is this camaraderie that is special.  Being on several design teams, both on a Canadian level and international level has built many special friendships.  It's an amazing feeling to inspire others and be inspired.

The layout that I have published in this issue is on Page 34 of my Dad, who is a kindhearted, gentle guy and a man of integrity.

I snapped this photo on a whim as my parents do not like getting their photos taken and I love it because it's natural and not posed.  Father's Day is coming up and I was happy that I could honour him by being published.

Thanks Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine and especially Jackie Ludlage.  You rock!

Have a wonderful day everyone! I hope you can do something today that brings you happiness.

Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine Winter 2013/2014 Publications

Hello friends!  Today I wanted to share some of my new publications.  I am so honored to have two layouts published in the Winter 2013/2014 issue of Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine!

I had the honor of one of my layouts receiving "alternate take on the front cover" of the winter issue on page 8.  The winter issue goes on sale across Canada December 1 at new stands everywhere.

55 Years Of Christmases And Counting

I also love taking photos of flowers and winter landscapes.  The following layout was also published in the Seasonal Gallery on Page 117 of the winter issue.  I used Sketch #280 from Scrapbook Challenges.

Brr
It was an amazing year this year as I was published in all four magazines of Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine and had two layouts featured as "alternate takes on the front cover".  All I can say is thank you to Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine for choosing my creations.  I truly love everything about this magazine.

Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine is published four times a year and they are always looking for Canadian submissions so don't be shy, submit!  If you would like to subscribe to this printed magazine,   the link is here.  They also have a digital version and welcome international subscribers too.  It's one of the few printed scrapbooking magazines still out there.

Thanks so much for letting me share my happy news.  I hope you have a wonderful day!

A Sneak Peek!

Sharing a sneak peek of the cover of Canadian Scrapbooker's Magazine Spring 2013 issue.

Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine Spring 2013

I am just a tad giddy because two of my layouts have been picked up in this wonderful magazine that is published quarterly.  I have been published in several online scrapbooking magazines, but this is the first time I have been published in a printed magazine other than a cooking magazine called "Light & Tasty".

It goes on sale around March 1 and you don't have to be Canadian to subscribe.  Subscriptions can be sent internationally as well.  Just go to www.canadianscrapbooker.ca and click on "subscribe" and soon you can be reading this magazine too.  There are always fresh new ideas and the staff are always coming up with new and creative ways to get your creative juices flowing.

Thanks for letting me share my excitement.  Have a great day!

The Gown

I am still working on my daughter and son's wedding albums.  This layout was fun to do as I liked trying something different with my ribbon as I was inspired by the flowing of Shannon's wedding dress.  I made the big pink flower with some cool ribbon I bought at Christmas.

It was fun to do a girly page of my princess.  Fancy Pants have such nice papers to fit my style.  For this layout I used the "Wishful Thinking" collection.  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Animal Lover

Being the animal lover that I am, I have instilled this love in each of my children.  They know that animals are meant to be treated with kindness, love and respect.  Clayton loves our cat Asia more than we will ever know.  They have a bond that is special.  Asia greets Clayton when he gets home from school, and sees him off every morning.  We got Asia from the SPCA when she was approximately two years old.  She was abused and in a cage for 4 months before we adopted her.  She has many issues, but she loves and adores us and we love and adore her back.  Here is a layout that I wanted to share that is from the heart.  This truly depicts the love that my son has for his cat.
